Hey this is probably an easy tech question but I am unsure of how to fix it. My laptop keyboard works, but pushing one button does an entirely different operation. Example, if I push A it brings up P (not exact). I am unsure of the cause or how to fix it. Please do help. Thanks!
It's your ALT function. My keyboard does the same; look for a key that turns on/off the alt/num lock on your keyboard. You see this often on laptop keyboards that aren't big enough to have a dedicated numpad. Easy way to confirm is to look at the I, U, O keys and such and see if there are alternate numbers on each of them (7,8,9 for example). If you press those keys and a number appears, then it's definitely the alt function activated.
