Vent suggestion

Hey, in vent we have 1 TF2 channel.

What do you think about adding sub channels which have each public server listed?

Might be nice to chat with other members while pubbin. Problem I find is while I idle vent, people are usually in a different server... it can be distracting.

We used to have that but they just were'nt that popular. Most people that play while in vent dont go to their erver or game channel. They stay in aeither a general room or a lobby or something.

Oh really. I think it would be a great way to talk with other clan members and not disrupt game play in the pub.

If it doesn't drag resources at all, I'd be interested in seeing these separate rooms. Two days ago I was playing and heard a lot of cussing. It got so bad I was getting irritated until I noticed it wasn't in TF2. It was in Vent. Now, we let our hair down in vent. If you want to cuss, I can leave the room-it's all good. But since many of us don't have the in-game overlay I've heard mentioned, dividing up rooms for specific servers could really help relieve confusion and keep us from getting distracted by things that would be unacceptable in game.

Cussing in vent? yikes.

I think it would encourage people to use vent with separate channels.
Also it will allow members to discuss rule breakers, etc. Can we atleast try it?

Seperate channels for each server is a good idea and works in theory, but typically you have people join a server channel and then get bored or see another server needs players and they switch servers, but forget to switch vent channels. Then you have people calling stuff out and it's in a differnt map and throwing people off. Another problem is the people you want to talk to about something are in three different channels and then you have to talk to each one and have them all switch to a common channel so you can talk to them at the same time. I feel you pain though because just one channel for everyone usually makes it just a distracting mess when you are trying to play and I just end up turning vent off because of foul language or just constant loud chatter that has nothing to do with TF 2. Not sure what the answer is.....

Can we try it? And foul language seems to be an issue... why aren't there enforced rules in the vent server?

Vent in the TF2 channel is always dead... I think it won't hurt to try it... I think a few people might enjoy it. Make new friends with the members you always see in the same servers. In game isn't a good time to talk... it will annoy 30 other people.
