You're Pyro, and you die while burning someone, and you see that they will definitely die, and then they kill themselves just so that you don't get the point? Take it like a man!
If you care about the stats on our website then the joke is on them. I sometimes let spies take out some of my engy buildings if it's a lot of effort to rush back to save them so I can get points for rebuilding.
Im one of those ppl your talking about arent I comet? I just dont want pyro's to have the final laugh, now whats so wrong with that? Besides, if you want to kill me then do it right the first time
I'll only suicide to avoid the post win slaughter. I've always felt that was a little brutal, which is odd, given how much I like this particularly brutal game. Short of that, if you get me fair and square, you can have the point(s). I have found in CS:S and in TF2 if I worry about my score, I don't have as much fun.
Letting spies kill your buildings is pointless; if you're too far away to remove the sapper, just detonate them. That way the spy won't get points for killing your building and you get points for putting it up again.
Yeah, rebuilding destroyed SG's and dispensers gives you a ton of points, so if you blow it up before it's sapped completely then your points are null the next time you build. It's my way of saying "touche" to the spy.
I usually don't think to suicide, but instead if I know I'm going to die from flames, I taunt just before the inevitability. It's funny to see a flaming demoman go "Kabooo--aaauuugh!"
As a Pyro I've had too many experiences where a soldier fires at his feet hoping to at least damage me, gets a crit rocket, and kills us both. Thus I only approach soldiers from the back now.
