As the title states, my computer has been turning off my power supply each time I turn it on. Now this doesn't happen a lot, but it happens quite frequently to where I am starting to get worried that something might happen to my PC. Let me give you guys a brief rundown of what I mean. So, when I turn on my computer, it flicks off my breaker in my part of the house, which includes the office room and my bedroom. Two beeps come on with a flashing red light, which I'm assuming is a bad sign. Anyway, my grandpa is already in the process of trying to fix it, but in the meantime, I would like some help from any eGO techies out there who can assure me or give me knowledge that I need to know to fix this issue. Have you tried turning the PC on in a different part of the house? Are you using a power strip?
First step is verifying that the PC is definitely the cause for it, and not the outlet/strip it's connected to. Once you confirm that the PC keeps tripping the circuit breaker, then you know for almost certain that it's the PSU. How long have you had it? Can you give us the model?

You could easily be overloading the breaker for that side of the house. It happens sometimes at my place if we have too many items plugged into wall sockets. Not enough power so it trips the breaker and shuts everything down.
Both answers above are correct scenarios. A followup would be nice as in finding out if the pc is having issues at other outlets (preferably a different part of the house for testing). I also recommend an APC surge protector with or with out a battery ( I prefer battery as the battery would kick in if powers out saving a unwanted shutdown).
Electric problems like this can lead to damage of the pc or any other electronics in the house. We use to have a problem like this here the APC took a massive power surge but saved the monitors as well as my pc.

I think it could be my power supply, but my grandpa seems to think that it could be the wall outlet. I would test it out in a different part of the house, but with the way things are set up, I see that as being impossible. Hopefully he changed the wall outlet. If that doesn't work, then I will try to plug it in in a different part of the house. Also, my computer is plugged into the power supply, which is connected to the wall outlet.

Just run an extension chord to a different socket that is running off a different fuse on the breaker. Plug it in and test. Simple.
I'll have to test that out.
My grandpa is going to change the wall outlet pretty soon. Hopefully tomorrow. It stopped turning off power in my side of the house for 3 days, then tonight it turned it off twice. I have told him repeatedly to fix this, and he says that he will. It's just really frustrating. Procrastination at its finest. Anyway, I will keep you all updated on the status. Yeah dont hassle your grandpa. Sounds like he is trying to help by at least offering to fix the outlet. Give him some slack.
But honestly you should do some testing yourself while your grandpa isnt fixing it. You could easily be saving him some money or figuring out the actual problem. Then you'd be doing him a favor.
Both of you are right. I could put it in a different part of the house, but I honestly don't know where I would plug it into. He fixed my wall outlet today, so everything should be good. But the next time this happens, I'll figure it out on my own before asking him to fix it. And also, when I plugged in other stuff into the same wall outlet, it would also turn off my power. So it's not my computer, it's the wall outlet.
