This is happening to me more and more. How do I fix?

Used to happen to me all the time, I just dealt with it, and now, it's all gone.

I'm guessing it's just a rare occasion.

Been happening for the past week or so. 2-3 times a night. Really annoying.

When planetside crashes and you get ps2.exe has stopped working, once you get that screen, it takes like 5 minutes for it to fully crash, until then it just freezes and the sounds are horrible in my headset
ITS LETHAL MAN!! But in all seriousness, try re downloading it.

Do you have HTML MOTDs disabled?

Every once in awhile, they cause issues with hl2.exe and *bang* it is kil.

Assuming console is enabled, use

cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
