They're both excellent. Personally I prefer samsung for no reason other than brand loyalty and the good experience I've had, but that doesn't mean the MX100 is any worse (some people won't touch TLC with a 90nm pole, so they avoid the EVO).

I went with the Samsung Pro. It's a bit more expensive, but has a better read/write.

It's super super fast. I wouldn't use it for gaming though. I only used it for stuff that "loads" on boot; Windows, Steam (but not the games themselves), Anti-Virus.. stuff like that.

I picked up new 500G VelociRaptor, that I put the games themselves on. Also stuff like Team speak, Visual Studio, etc etc.
