Tech Help Can't connect to teamspeak

I'm trying to connect to the teamspeak server and I keep getting these messages. I even tried entering it in my bookmarks and going from there, but still nothing. May I get a little from someone please, thank you! :thumbup:

Try the server written this way please, ts3.edge-gamers.com:9987 (Clicking on this link will open up TeamSpeak 3, and will ensure the correct information is getting passed to Team Speak.)

It says failed to connect to server again.

looks like address change use 67.228.79.216 to connect thats what i use and it works

TS's IP just got updated. If you connect directly to the correct IP it should work.
And as hunter said, use the host IP: 67.228.79.216 if the DNS is still not updated for you.

Otherwise, use ts3.edge-gamers.com or ts.edge-gamers.com as it's not meant for people to keep up with IP changes. It just can take a while for all DNS's to get updated around the world each time they get modified.

Sorry if I keep bugging you guys, but I just tried doing that, and I wait a few seconds and then it says "error." I'm currently running team-speak 3 on a macbook laptop. I downloaded the Client one and server one just for purposes, but still won't work. I even put this as the server address: 67.228.79.216. Still nothing, please help, and thank you for your time!

At this point I'm willing to bet it is a hardware setting that is preventing you from connecting. I see that you are on wireless, can you tell us what router you use?

The thing is, It says I'm wireless, but I'm actually connected to my university's ethernet cord. Just an update to everyone, I did check the serverlist and nothing pops up. No other servers pop up? It's pretty weird.

Another update: I just reinstalled it and no servers are still popping up.

you said its trying to connect via wireless even thou your connected by wire thats the problem then get it to use your wired connection

Hey hunter, I just turned off the wifi and let it connect through the wire and it still didn't work. Thank you for the information though.

If you are in college, that could be your issue. Some/most of the ports needed are not opened on college networks.

It could be, but I don't see why they would specifically be blocking teamspeak? I'm playing cs:s off of their internet. I'm actually going home this weekend for the week, hopefully it will work there.

Yes, Try and connect when you are at home, and report back, that will let us know if it is the connection, or something with your computer.

Update: I'm currently at the airport about to depart in 15 minutes, and I was able to connect to the teamspeak server! So I'm guessing my school has blocked it or something is up with it. I'm on teamspeak right now but will be getting off. 5:15 AM is my time.

I figured as much, your best bet is to contact the IT team and ask if they could open up ports for gaming and voip. Teamspeak 3 requires:

port 9987 (UDP) - Virtual Voice Server
port 10011 (TCP) - The ServerQuery
port 30033 (TCP) - File Transfers
