Hey guys tis me smiths11.... agian. I Just recently bought AC Unity, and then shortly after that I received my G930 Logitech headset from amazon. Now as some of you may know AC:U has the newest COOP multiplayer feature, and voice chat is implemented into the game, The problem is getting my headset to work with AC:U. I followed the installation process to the letter for my headset. I have tested the 7.1 surround sound, and also my mic in teamspeak, and both work fine. When I'm playing COOP I cannot hear anyone and they cannot hear me. When you're playing AC:U and your headset is working you will notice by being able to see a mic next to your name and assassin icon (I know this because I also have the game on the Xbox One). So all i'm trying to figure out is why my headset is not working, and how to fix the problem if there is a way. Any help would be great, thanks.

Sounds like you did not configure your in game sound settings. Most modern games require you to set the Logitech G930 as the main source for sound and microphone input.

The sounds settings from the main menu of the game and from in the game do not have but more that 4 to 6 options, and no advanced options or submenus. I have been looking through all the menus in hopes that it would be in some random place. I am looking all over the place for answers. I have submitted a ticket to ubisoft support, and at the earliest they will get back to me on monday. I have also posted a thread via the assassin's creed community over on the ubisoft forums. I think I am going to plug in my old headset and see if that works. If so then I know it is my new headset that is the problem.

Update:
The other headset did not work. My turtle beach x12s did not work either. Just thought I would throw that in there

Getting voice chat in AC:U to work has been a major gripe for PC gamers. You are not alone in this issue. Check UPlay as I've read that's where the voice chat settings will work through (not in-game as you may think). Also read that the entire party has to be in a group for it to work? Not sure; Ubisoft did a really crappy job in getting the multiplayer fleshed out correctly.

P.S. Did you post a help thread in another website?

Thanks snipeye. Yeah I contacted ubisoft support and I posted on the technical support forums on the ubisoft website. Well it sounds like in order to communicate with other players I must use uPlay and not AC:U? What is this blasphemy!?!?!? Ok well I will keep trying in the meantime. Thanks guys for the help and if I figure out that it does work I will tell ya'll.

Ok so I had a brief phone call with ubisoft support and they said they are going to try and fix the problem in patch 1.4. I guess all I can do is wait till then. Thanks for all your help guys, but alas there is nothing more to do but wait.

If the problem is through uPlay then all you need to do is launch uPlay and go into its audio settings and set it from there.

Nah that game is severely broken with bugs and glitches. So they are trying to patch it up. One of the things that are broken is the in game voice chat. I just have to wait till patch 1.4 to use it in game
