Cal date and time

The Server is a 20 slot server, so it is possible to have 2 teams in there at once with specs watching/recording the game so we know what we did wrong and where at.

If we're gonna do it. I think we should do it on the count to test it out, so when it does come around next time, we can be prepared, and of course, get jolly 'ol Garden's help.

Yes I am starting a cal team for tf2, but we need to get a team together quick.
The date will be 2/29/08 At 8:00 CMT <---- This is tryouts
It will be 8v8 and matches will be on sundays.
The preseason starts March 2 which is a monday, so we will need a team by then.

Count me in. I've mastered all the classes pretty well and I will play whichever class my team needs the most. You won't be dissappointed. ;)

Is CMT the same as CST (GMT -6)? Or is it something weird that Ill have to look up?

I would love to do it!! I am willing to represent eGO in TF2 cal!!! I love playing engineer but i will play any class if I am selected for the team.

CMT is not CST CST Central Standard Time or you got CDT Central Daylight Time for during daylight savings CMT is somewhere else or a typo

It seems like there would be tons and tons of people from eGO that are interested. To make the best team, i think you should look at hlx stats and pick the top players on our servers. To be honest, i dont think im even close to the top :P

Hmm statistically I'm arguably the best player on the entire ranking list.

The problem about that fuse is, that there are some people that can set up a sentry in their intel room and go like 30 kills to 0 deaths, and it wouldn't give me a live view of how well the people play with others

Go to the hlxstats page and You can look at their kills per min, number of assists, captures, capture blocks, dominations etc. What maps they played on etc. (I think i'm #1 in kd ratio and top 1-2 in kills per min)

How many kills they got as each class and with which weapons. And where they got the majority of the points. You'll see that a lot of the top ranked people got 90% of their points by spamming sentries and dispensers.( u get like 4-5 points for each built)

It's actually an accurate way to measure someone's skill level if you factor in all the all the different stats.

However, it doesn't factor in the possiblity that some people maybe a lot better than what their stats indicate. Some really good players like to mess around most of the time and get shitty stats.

Also people who are primarily engi(there's very little skill involved in playing an engi, it's mostly about knowing the map), spy players will not do well in leagues even if they have completely mastered their classes. Unfortunately, engis, spies, and pyros just aren't very effective in competitive play.

I'll do it next year, already busy with CAL on CSS, and its too late to actually stand a chance in CAL, IMO. I personally think this should have been scheduled A LOT earlier, or scheduled for next year.
