DOD:S Division Recruitment Meeting
• Quality over Quantity!!!
o Looking for the quality of new members not quantity.
o Great new people that will be active in edge gamers.
• Attitude
o Everyone has bad/good days but when recruiting you should have the most fantastical day in the world. (In the words of Lt. Nond)
o People like to be treated well. Say hello and be nice. It is contagious.
• Approach
o Personal Approach- Add them on steam and help them through the application process. Chat them up about anything and whatever it takes to get know them better. psay is a good way to talk to a potential recruit in the servers.
Don’t want to turn away people but remember quality of the recruit. You’ll get to know them through the personal approach.
o All chat- Not the best way to recruit because it is too impersonal. You have to add the person and fast on steam and chat them up.
• Application Process
o A recruit is not actually a recruit until he/she is registered on the forums.
o Need basic knowledge on the application process
• When you get the recruit
o Show them around the forums
o Get them to come to events
o Get them to come to TS and chat
o Make sure you keep in touch with your recruit and invite them to events and talk to them.
• Under Our Wing Program – Is another recruitment class to help you better understand the process of things and how to go a bouts of getting a recruit. Will take you in the field and train you.
• Large recruiting contest to be posted on forums in the near future.
• Sticky Threads in DOD:S division forums for recruiting process
• Create a notepad or word document with the recruitment process so that the process is quick and easy
• 4 new achievements for recruiting
o Get 5 recruits in TS (Take screenshot and post in thread that will be created)
o Get 3 recruits to show up to an event
o Attending the recruiting class
o Quality recruiter of the month (Winner of the contest coming out)

• For contest focus on them striving in edge gamers. Participating in events and on forums. Getting promotions.
• Make groups in your friends list to break up your recruits so that you can keep track of them and stay in contact. (Go to friends list and right click on name and click “tag as” and create a recruit tag for them.
• Join DOD:S ranger group
• DOD:S PSC members (To help accept recruit apps and questions)

o Bearkiller is only member to this in the DOD:S division. We need more Reps in the DOD division so go fill out an app to join!
• DOD:S new recruit get together. Make it an event on a server and get to know the new recruits!
• Q-Tip has a prize pool for recruitment events (If you think someone deserves a prize let him know)
• Recruit complained that process takes too long. As recruiters we have to have know the process to make it easy and quick. Have everything ready for them before you start it.
• Utilize the sticky threads to communicate!
• We will try to get together once a month but other than that use the sticky threads.
• Contest should be a go in the middle of December and end in the middle of February
