So its on a daily sale, but im curious bout the dlc. Im just thinking about goin after the assault pack. My question is hows bout the sniper pack? Is it really worth it? Are there any other items in the dlc thats really worth going after (not talkin bout the wep packs)? I did notice that I made a post similar to this back in March & didnt wanna raise a necro thread, so decided to behave & be nice during the holiday season.

Armored Transport are essentially the three map DLCs I'd suggest you get. ($5.22)
Gage Mod Courier, Sniper, and Historical Pack I think are well worth it. ($3.72)
The others, Assault Pack, Shotgun, Weapon Pack 01 and 02, are up to you. ($4.96)
Total DLC cost: $13.90
BTW: If you're looking to upgrade your PC, Microcenter (if you have one near you) is selling the i7-4790k for $250, $50 cheaper than Newegg
Edit: Newegg just lowered the price down to $290, $40 savings now for MC.

You don't really need any of the map DLCs unless you want to actively host a room and use them. Every single heist in Payday 2 can be played by anyone, regardless of if they own the DLC or not so long as they join another player's room who does own it.
Past that, sniper pack is quite good, although you really should be pretty accurate to make maximum use of it.
Shotgun's pretty good, the M1014 has a huge ammo pool so that even when it's been decreased by 50% when you load it with HE rounds it still leaves it with enough to actually shoot things.
Historical Pack I haven't touched yet... Partially due to budget constraints, partially due to being addicted to BOI: Rebirth since it was released...
The Assault Pack's not bad however. It kind of gets overlooked since it wasn't any incredibly awesome weapons, but the GL40 can be a godsend against large waves of generic cops, and the three rifles that come with it are also all fairly well balanced.
The biggest advantages though easily come from the Armored Transport and Hotline Miami DLCs probably, since the former offers you the Eagle Heavy Rifle which is quite a good assault rifle available from rep 0 as well as a good pistol in the Gruber Kurz, while Hotline Miami nets you three very good SMG sidearms as well as some good melee weapons.
