I have the Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition on Steam. I'm trying to get it to work with the EDuke32 mod controller and High-resolution pack. I currently have the pack running almost correctly, but mouse aiming is borked and I can't figure out how to get it fixed. I also want to get it to work WITH the Steam client, so I can have overlay and still unlock achievements and such. Currently the mod launcher is bypassing Steam entirely. If you could add me on Steam and talk me through it, that'd be great. It'd probably be a bit faster than going through this thread.

Found this info:

The truest experience to the original, while still being able to play at more comfortable resolutions, would be running the classic game through EDuke32. This in effect is the next-best thing, if you happen to appreciate smoother graphics.

At the moment, the game is relatively bug-free, although there is a lingering “floaty” mouse issue floating around (sorry) that the developer is actively working on a fix for.

Possible fix:

Disable vsync in-game and force vsync and triple buffering through gpu control panel then mouse aiming is very smooth with no floaty movement in sight.

This was posted by the Developer 21st of March 2013:
Quick saves will be available soon as well as mouse fix. Rewind might be available to.

Patch came out 4th of April 2013

Version 1.0.1
- Added "Take No Prisoners" achievement
- Added "Invaiders Must Die!" achievement
- Added VSync option (Video settings)
- Added Max FPS option (Video settings)
- Added Quick save/load keybindings (F9/F6 by default)
- Added awesome people to credits
- Improved mouse aiming
- Fixed in-game crashes
- Fixed textures misalignment
- Fixed MacOX 10.6 startup issue (Remove "duke3d-local.cfg" if after update the issue will happen again)
- Other fixes and improvements

***********************

Not sure if that fixed anything since I'm assuming that you have the latest version

Another possible fix:

" Though thru lots of "tweaking", more or less uninstalling Attrition and installing it again and changing some settings, mouse aiming is working again. :)

If this helps anyone, I changed X-axis to 2.00 in advanced mouse-menu, and Y-axis to -2.00. Also I changed all options to -none- in digital axes setup and inverted mouse.Turning mouse aiming on also helps. ;)"

Thanks a bunch, one of the links you provided managed to fix my issue. Now I have to see if it will be compatible with Steam achievements or not.
