So, this thread got me thinking ...

Wouldn't it be cool to, at some point, plan a road trip? Maybe invite eGO clan members to converge on some remote location and just hang out for a weekend or so? I'm thinking summer or fall, but I've also been a member here for only a month, and may have missed out on this sort of thing before.

That would be pretty neat, but I know that most of use are either a) students or 2) working stiffs with/out families. It would be difficult, but fun.

Well, I'm broke and supporting a family of six, but I'd work hard to save up some cash so I could go. It would be fun, although maybe shooting for 2009 might be more realistic.

Unless I hit the lottery or something, 2009 would be more realistic for me. I have a bachelor party in Vegas in April. I'm in a wedding in Richmond, IN in mid May. AND, I have another wedding in Chicago at the end of May. Those three trips combined will pretty much be my vacation for this year. I wish my friends would stop with this getting married junk already.

I have done get-togethers like this with my old WoW guild before and it's not terribly easy to get going, but it's worthwhile in the end. It's fun to get to put a face with the friends you're pwning all the time ;D

It sounds like it would be alot of fun, but lanfest 2008 is definatly out of my reach, I'd have to shoot for 09, and i definatly wouldn't flake. If I'm going to go, I'll tell you and do so, if not why bother brining it up.
