When Battlefield: Hardline is released, eGO is dropping BF:BC2.

Ah well, it's been fun! We've got til March to rage in heavy metal!

Where did you see that? Would be kind of weird to drop a server that is constantly in the top 15 in rankings.

I guess I better hurry and get to L40 so I can say I got half way to 50!

Golly, where can I go with my current machinery that gives as good a good gameplay as BC2?

Nothing is decided yet, all depends on our finances and what kind of support we give to Hardline.

Well, I submitted a dropbox suggestion about changing the 24/7 heavy metal server to an all helicopter server and got a response back from dtmt1398 that BC2 was going to be dropped for Hardline.

The HM server as it stands has been doing quite well, even reaching 3rd on Gametracker in the past month (Link: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/74.201.57.195:19567/

To drop it for Hardline..I can't even describe it, but I just don't see a Hardline server being anywhere as successful unless they add more to the game and not just have it be cops n robbers..

I think the game will be fine, but it will attract a different crowd than your current BF bittervets.

Just out of curiosity, how much does it cost to rent a server? Maybe start an itty-bitty clan for BFBC2 enthusiasts? Crowdsourcing?

The camaraderie here is great, but without BC2 there's not much reason for me to come around.

This sucks on so many levels.

Ask one of the C-ops guys what a server costs; it seems to me to have been shockingly cheap when I asked a couple years ago.

Maybe you guys looking into a server could work something out with the higher ups. That way keep the same I.P. Maybe up limit on Dedicated supporter?

It might be harder than just dollars. In sim racing we found servers that couldn't handle international traffic well if you can believe that. The people in charge said it took a couple of tries before finding one that was lag free for everyone.
