MMORPG

Ignore any release date you hear until they announce it has gone gold. It keeps getting pushed back. In part because the owners of the intellectual property are VERY strict. If they change the appearance or behavior of a creature in their tabletop game, the video game is required to make that same change. They have final review over everything from the color of an ogre's sash to the names used for NPCs. A more strict leasing of the IP rights I have never seen.

I don't subscribe to an MMO game atm.
I am not sure if I will try Conan or not. I was not a big fun of their previous game. If there is a demo or receiving good reviews, I probably will at least try out.
On the other hand, I am looking forward to WAR. I am even thinking to pre order the collector's edition. DAoC was a great game, and they sure know how to make RvR games. Cannot wait.
They are schedule to be released around the same time so I hope at least one of them is a winner if its not both.

I liked both of those games, but I could never get past level 10 or so before I felt the urge to make a new toon. Creating the heroes/villains was the best part of that game.

I used to play a few MMO's just EQ and WoW..actually. both i quit fairly quickly, WoW i quit after my hunter hit 29 and a half.

W:AoR is going to be amazing, imo. If you've ever played any of Gamesworkshops games(as i do) it has amazing and beautiful backstory and art. for me it depends, if Lich King or W:AoR comes out first, i dont think i'll be able to split my attention to two fabulous games.

Oh, and yes. we should all get together and make a clan
preferably one were i can be a very large Orc. :D

My fiancee calls me an MMO whore. I play pretty much any MMO I can get my hands on, and have participated in over 15 open/closed betas. No, I cannot name them all.

and if you do what do you think of the newest one coming out : warhammer online?

Seriously though, it looks to be a pretty decent game. I'm hoping to get a closed beta invite to it and Conan as well.

Drifter, curious how you intend to get much out of the Lich King if you aren't level 70.

As far as the 2 games... If Warhammer holds to its release date, we are looking at June. But thats wishful thinking that it will remain that date. Lich King doesn't come out until end of the year, if that date remains the same as well. :)

I love the way they describe the fees. "for a price of a movie ticket in NYC,a small soda, popcorn, and a candy bar , you could join the online gaming experience" just cheered me up

Which is, of course, bull.

Because a movie ticket, small soda, popcorn, and candy bar is at least 2 months subscription.
