Last year some very generous members of the DoD:S division came together to give back to the community by donating games to their fellow members. I'm hoping more members can pledge games as my reckless spending in the last few months has made me cut down on my expenses for the near future.

This is the perfect time and place to give back to the people you play with and also a good time to snag a free X-mas gift! Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to members of our community.
The concept is simple: Pledge Steam, Origin, or other downloadable PC games for other members to claim.
**You can also donate extra games from old Humble Bundle purchases**
Donations will start now and will continue until the end of the year when the giveaway ends. However, donations are needed from now until Friday to create a pool of games that will be available when the giveaway begins on Saturday.
When the giveaway starts, people simply choose an available game and claim it using the "first come, first served" rule. If you can't afford a game to donate or if you simply want a specific game that shows up, simply claim it-- no strings attached.
Once a game is claimed, I'll send a private message to the person who donated it and then they will give the game through Steam to the person who asked for it. Basically, the games will be needed when they are claimed. So if you haven't bought the games yet (and they're not on sale) it might be a good idea to pledge a game and wait until the last minute to actually buy it and donate it.

Last year the giveaway was open to DoD:S members only and I plan to carry on that tradition with some changes and exceptions:
1. All DoD:S members are eligible to claim any one game.
2. Any participant of the last Realism Campaign can claim a game.
3. Any eGO member from another division is eligible to receive a copy of Day of Defeat: Source (Donations of DoD:S would be greatly appreciated).
4. Members not from the DoD:S Division can claim a game if they donate a game.
5. DoD: members who donate more than one game can claim a total of two games with at least one day between claims.
These rules are not set in stone and recommendations and opinions are welcomed.
Donations: Start and End
Donations will begin now and continue until the end of the year (12/31/14) when the giveaway closes.
I hope to close this thread by Friday (12/19/14) with a decent amount of pledged games and then by Saturday (12/20/14), I will start a thread with available games for your playing pleasure.

Important Notes
-Donations will continue until 12/31/14, allowing people to buy and donate games as they become available for low prices during the Steam Winter Sale and/or the Humble Bundle.
-Steam games and Origin game codes will be the primary platforms for donated games.
-Copies of Day of Defeat: Source can be extra useful as they can be donated to members from other divisions and create more DoD:S players.
-Any games donated should remain in your possession and inventory until they are claimed.
-If games are not claimed they will remain yours and in your possession.
-Extra games not claimed once the giveaway ends remain in your possession. However, they can still be put to use to help the division by offering them to official DoD:S advisors, recruiters, or event coordinators.
-This year, members who donate will be listed alphabetically in a special benefactor section of this and the giveaway thread. Donated games will be pooled together by online platform (Steam, Origin, other) and listed alphabetically.

The DoD:S Division X-mas Giveaway (when the donated games are given away) is slated to run from Saturday (12/20/14) until the end of the year (12/31/14).
The giveaway will be held in the DoD:S General Forums in a new thread.
