Would you like to know why you're having so much financial trouble? It's not because people don't like you, heck I absolutely love perusing a bookstore and seeing everything that's available as I pick books to buy. The thing is this as simple as this - your pricing model absolutely sucks.
Case in point: Today I drove up to the Barnes and Noble to look for a book my mom has on her Amazon wish list for Christmas ("Mastering Fermentation" for those wondering) after finding your website listed it for about the same as Amazon, maybe a couple dollars more. Upon finding the book I noticed that that $21 your website asked for it was suddenly $30 in the store, so I went up to the cashier to inquire as to the price and see if I couldn't get the book at their own website's pricing. NOPE. Even though there's a "store pickup" option on their website, the associate claims that just means you can reserve a copy and come pick it up in the store after buying it from said store at their price.
I practically laughed my way out their door, barely holding it in until the outer door swung shut and out emerged this absolute, bottom of the stomach laughter that almost hurt. Any other store I can typically get a pricing match on their own website. Heck, got season 2 of Archer for $10 less than the Best Buy store price because of their site's price. Even WalMart typically does it for me. But you guys... Ohhh lord... Had it just been a little bit more, say $2-4 I would have gladly eaten it so as to get it now. But at almost a 50% markup? No. Just no.
