Hey guy's i have told a number of members this but i wanted everyone to know!!!

I beg ya'll when ya'll are spending time this Christmas Season with friends and family think of those less fortunate than you Please!!!

Cause in point i spent the whole day Monday going and getting 42 set's of printed pillows (very nice Pillows i might add) for kids and adults and took back to my church and help bag them with other items, than Friday i went back to the church to help load a really big 20 foot box truck slam full of 70 or 80 bags full of everything from coats, to sweaters and pants and shoes to blankets and pillows and sheets, to household goods and electronics to toys and games and books to cribs and strollers and car seats and 2,000 diapers to gifts and presents and hygiene items for men women boys and girls to goodies and gloves and ear warmers too over 100 boxes full of food and potatoes and apples and oranges and bananas and cabbage and turnips and other fruits and veggies

Than we left out Early yesterday morning at 6 am (5 hour drive) to a community and county in West Virginia that is SERIOUSLY HURTING AND BELOW POVERTY LEVEL when we got there along with people who helped coordinate this event when family's started coming some to or 3 family's per vehicle all with kids ages 2 to 14 or 15 years old and most family's had 3 or 4 kids we would go and grab 3 bags full of these items an 4 boxes full of the food per family and take to the vehicles they were riding in and carry these items out and load for them (most didn't have vehicles) to point where the trunks and cars were completely full

There were 40 family's total and over a 120 kids and ALL of these family's live in houses that are partly burnt down or falling apart literally or are held together with duct tape and you can throw a rock thou the walls and some with dirt floors, and most of these family's have no power or electricity, no running water (and if do not suitable to drink) and no way to heat here houses and still use out houses for bathrooms

SO I BEG YOU NEXT TIME YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT BAD THINK OF THOSE LESS FORTUNATE THAN YOU PLEASE !!!!

some pics i found online and when i get mine and those went with me developed
i'll be adding them

Thanks for sharing your story Kam! It really does put into perspective of what you really have, what others have and how fortunate some of us have it at times. It's also nice to hear someone donating their time, as well as material goods. Also I would like to acknowledge army's amazing efforts to help the people of africa. I was recently reading an article about how some countries, like sierra leone, were considering banning christmas this year, out of fear of spreading ebola.

After hearing a bunch of our members inspirational stories, I decided to do my part. We donate clothing, toys, whatever extra we have that we don't need and others could benefit from. I have been going through all of my clothes for the church donation. So far, I have collected: 27 pairs of socks, 10 belts, 5 pairs of not too worn boxers and I still have to go through my closet for shirts, pants, shorts, sweaters, etc. I have enough clothes to have a different outfit every day for over a month and more....definitely more than any one man or person for that matter needs. But it's not just material items, I try to do my part where and when I can as well. My grandpa recently passed and my grandma can't drive, so I take her shopping, to church, whatever she needs. I share this as a little act of donating my time, where and when I can. Thank you all for donating your money and time, in the hopes of inspiring others to do the same.

ya and guy's this is what i'm trying to get out there

it's not really bout how much money you have or what you have that you can give away it's really bout taking a couple of hours out of your day and going and volunteering your time and whatever resources you may have and helping at a food bank or homeless shelter or a thrift store or at a church to do things like these they always are glad to have volunteers or just giving someone walking on side of the road in the cold a ride somewhere or giving someone homeless some food and a coat and a blanket or ringing bells for salvation army or sending donations to charities like army and Lt.Nond to help those over seas.

i used to send money to St.Jude every mouth for years and a couple of relief efforts overseas (i can't afford to right now or i still would)

not trying to preach or convert anyone but it say's in the bible
I was hungry and you gave me food, I was cold and you gave me shelter, I was naked and you gave me clothes, I was tired and you gave me a place to rest

"THIS IS THE TRUE SPIRIT OF THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!!"
