OMG, i love zombie movies, esp the new wave of them (scares the crap out of me).

I'd go for the new Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later (and 28 Weeks Later is good too), and definitely Shaun of the Dead as well.

Grandma's Boy is a funny gamer movie, buuuut, i don't think it has a lot of substance. Really it's a shallow stoner flick, but it has its moments of genius. quote: "Well, if you had robot ears you would like it."

If you're looking for a true masterpiece, well then you have to check out the 2004 remake of Reefer Madness. It's a movie/musical (but it's GOOD) based on a 1936 warning film about... well, you know. IT'S AMAZING!!!

My best comedy pic for recent movies is Idiocracy, that is a must see.

My other fav's include Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior (or a very crappy french one called B:13), Boondock Saints, Aliens (my fav movie of ALL TIME), SERENITY (so obsessed)... and anything directed by Michel Gondry.

Flippy, Do we have the same taste in everything? I love Terry Gilliam. Especially Brazil(the real one. stupid theatrical version). Nice avatar too

As for comedies you can never go wrong with Army of Darkness, The Big Lebowski and 3 ninjas. Escape from New York/L.A. are great action movie too.

3:10 to Yuma, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, any Stanley Kubrick, anything based off a Stephen King novel, Grapes of Wrath.

It is starting to border on creepy Owl, yes. The Big Lebowski ... holy crap that's a funny movie!

Wow. I have never known anyone (other than myself and a couple others I've enlightened) who's loved reefer madness let alone knowing what it is. Glad to see they're out there!
