Language problem

So I was in a game earlier today when I came to a slight problem. There was a frequent abuser of the language problem and I happened to be the only eGO member at the time. I warned but how was I to really 'enforce' it?

Vent is your best friend. At the admin seminars, that's what we e's were told especially if you are the only one, as well as your Steam or xfire friends list. But someone with admin should be on in vent and just give them a shout to come into the server and take care of the punks abusing the rules :)

I try to tell people to watch their launguage but most of the time it don't work. Infact, yesterday on 2fort somebody was mouthing off and I told them to stop and they said something like "don't tell me my own rules" and they wern't even in eGO.

And if that doesn't work, gather their information and make a post in the request ban forum.

Also, pop a bunch of eG's and eGO's on your Steam friends list. If you go to Steam Communities and look up the Edge Gamers Organization, it lists all the members in the group, most of them being admins. There's ALWAYS one available, without fail.

Like was already said, try to grab someone on Vent, Steam Friends or xfire. There is bound to be at least one admin online and able to get in that server at all times.

Yeah, add as many eGOs and eGs to your list as possible, mainly the ones you see online as the same time you generally play, then you can just message them. Fuse can tell you first hand how well that works, he uses it all the time to get me to come help

Me, Sixxgunn, the Kanchos, and Chrisbliss are all almost constantly in contact with one another; and if not, I have Delrio and a slough of other eG's to get in touch with. If you can't find anyone, drop me a line and I'd be more than happy to help you find someone! :)

Yup, I can't always jump in game, but Bubbles often can so long as the Munch is otherwise occupied. Should all else fail, though, you absolutely can document what happened and post in "Request Bans." It shouldn't matter that you're an admin. Simply asking for polite behavior should result in a proper response.

If it doesn't, or if that person is so unpleasant as to not respect any clan representative, we probably don't want them on our servers, at least until they read and agree to our rules. Request bans will do that, and also demonstrate that you have power, even if you're "only" an =(e)=. They don't seem to understand we value and act on any incident reported by any of our clan mates, but that can be fixed by your reporting them.

We're here for you one way or another. Oh, and on the broken mic, you can hop into vent, and use the chat function to let them know "I need help on [insert server name]." They'll come.

Also add a bunch of eG and eGO people to your steam friends so that if there is a problem you can just pull it up and message someone and they usually come quick.

Bobsters, add me to your steam friends: iamsupergrover is my steam account name.
