On occasion, unfortunately, despite the release of new cards, the dynamic of the game is more or less the same. Either you pray to RNGesus and enter the Arena, or play Constructed, where 95% of the decks you face will be exact copies of decks that the 'pros' have made. Which is made worse by the fact that so many cards are pretty much worthless, leaving certain deck types with very little in the way of customization. When new cards are released, or cards are altered, it takes very little time for the Meta to settle, with maybe 10 or less viable deck builds.

Just started myself since the game finally hit the Kindle. One of my first booster packs had a Sneed's Old Shredder that I've fallen in love with... Still getting used to the swing of things with it though since the last CCG I played was Pokemon.

yes I feel old now...

I don't like playing ranked but I enjoy messing around with it during raid downtime.
