hey eveyone thanks for the advise on keyboards now i just need one more thing for my computer.....i want a really nice headset with a mic and nice headphones with noise cancellation and all that good stuff right now im looking at the razer barracuda...if any of you guys have any sugestions it would be nice to hear em thanks
 
I have a set of plantronics headset with a boom mic. Its nice, crystal clear 5.1 surround sound Mic is crystal clear in vent and in game. No problems out of anybody. They only cost me 40 bucks at bestbuy
 
I've got a friend who just bought the barracuda headset from woot.com, he says it's decent, but not that great. Then again, he's much more of an audiophile than I am... From what I've read about the barracuda is that it's decent on it's own, but it really shines when you have the barracuda sound card as well. Make sure that your sound card has LOTS of inputs for it, because it's got several, plus a USB for powering the in-line volume.

retail... well, that's like $300.00 for the pair, but if you're patient, you can get the headset from woot for around $65 and the sound card for $95.
 
Honestabe6659 - I have a pair of Koss SB45s. They're pretty inexpensive, and a lot of people at [H]ard|Forum have them and recommend them. The sound quality is great and it's comfortable. I'm not sure about the mic on it, since I can't really hear myself talking :P. I assume the mic's fine because no one has made any comments about not being able to hear me.
 
Logitech Premium Notebook headset is what I use. Cost me $35 at Staples. Comes with your basic mic/headphones jack or a usb adapter.

gamercompro 1 by plantronics; $40ish at amazon (with fantastic reviews) got mine for $15 shipped on ebay :D
 
Heh, I have two pairs of headphones. One is a pair of high end Sennheiser and the other are Creative Labs. I would rather spend 500 dollars on good headphones than on a good video card. I love my music too much :)
 
I have that head set, i dont like it very much. It pinches the top of my ears to my glases, takes to long to adjust them to be comfortable. Thay also sound like crap while playing music at a decient volume.

I've got a set of Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 that I picked up cuz I really needed something in a hurry. Though, had I seen any Plantronics product for that price I would have bought it immediately. The microsoft dealies work just fine, but I rate the Plantronics brand pretty highly. I'd only buy the Razer product if you're into over-priced niche-mark(up)eted products.
 
I just bought a headset last week. Besides the cheesy FATAL1TY branding, I'm really liking them so far. I was really impressed with the amount of bass they can put out. Also, the mic is removable. So far they are really comfortable. They also come with a leather carrying bag though I doubt I'll get much use out of it.
