Tech Help Recurring connection problem on Garry's Mod startup

This problem comes up when I start up Garry's Mod and Garry's Mod alone. I will join a server and my connection to the internet will shut down and will not come back until I reboot my router and computer. Any other game with steam works fine.

Solutions I've tried:

Reinstalling (twice).
Verifying Game Cache Integrity(5-6 times).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Or try:

1. Delete your garrysmod folder in steamapps.
2. Delete local content on steam.

Just tried it, re-installed and it is still having the same problem. Rip.

Have you tried what I had to do when this happened, completly getting rid of steam and re downloading everything? I had to do that once and it worked. It's a last resort, but it should work
