Installing new os

Right now I currently am using Windows 7 on one of my 500gb hard drives. If I wanted to could I install windows 8 on another hard drive?

actually if you wanted to yes you can put it on another hard drive if you dont want to partion your win 7 drive..... i use mutli drives with different os on each one
