Unable to play

this really sucks. i started having weird computer problems last week. TF2 was unplayable, was all choppy and invisible people. so i defrag my drives and update all my drivers along with my bios.

I install the wrong bios on accident and my computer will not turn on since, it would start than spin the fans for 15 seconds than turn off. like a moron i forgot to unplug the computer while i went to buy a new motherboard and have dinner for 5 hours. well the 5 hours of powering on and off fried the cpu, it fried it so bad that when i put it in my new motherboard it instantly fried the board.

so i went out and bought a new quad core, came home and tried it on the fried motherboard and it instantly fried the new cpu. so right than i wasnt aware that the new cpu got fried, rather the motherboard was fried and i just need a new one and the cpu is fine.

nope... i get yet another motherboard and fry that one with the bad cpu. so now i am going to the store and getting a new cpu and motherboard at the same time. hopefully my dumb self can do it, i been jonesing for tf2 so bad its making me mean all day.

both the cpu's were Quad Cores and all the motherboards were Asus

I haven't the words to express how much I feel for you. I remember, about seven years ago, buying a whole bunch of parts off of the internet to build a monster rig. They all arrived and were perfectly functional, but I made a tiny mistake when putting it all together, and fried the RAM, the mobo, and the CPU. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

I'm just going to throw this out there... are you sure you don't have a bad power supply? I've seen cases where a bad PS (or undervoltage PS) can cause weird graphics problems. With all of the trouble that you've had, it might be worth it to pull out a multimeter and check your voltages.

Otherwise, I'm sorry about your loss. If it makes you feel any better, I finally tested my old All-in-Wonder Radeon 9800 Pro last night and found out that I did indeed kill it a few months ago. (Cooling fan wasn't spinning up and I didn't notice it until I smelled the magic smoke from the other end of the house.) Now, I need a new capture card for my video capture PC...

Wow, this is a very sad tale strewn with the corpses of many high quality hardware items. I think I'm going to cry. Okay, not really, but I do wish you luck solving the problem. That really stinks.

Sorry to hear that DeeZ.... Hardware problems suck. =(
When you get your machine back up if you are still having those choppy problems, I was having similar issues and Lafinass helped me adjust some cl_ settings which fixed the problems on my end. Hope you get back online soon.
