Lately I have been switching teams alot during rounds when things get lopsided. I think there are far to many players more concerned with winning then playing a quality round...where in fact you may lose. I understand there are veteran players who are far too concerned with their own Ego's (no pun intended) and loathe when their k/d ratios are not looking as superior as they would like it, but they should honestly be ashamed of themselves, There are even some players who will leave a losing team, or grab a sniper rifle and completely fail the players who are trying to capture a flag, I will NEVER do this, and those guilty of this crap should poo in their own hands and give themselves a round of applause. So please...yes I am talking to you!. Switch sides in an effort to make the rounds more competitive. And for any admin's who may read this I think you would agree our job is to make each round fun, fair, and balanced. So please switch sides if another team is backed into their uncap, Or at the start of a round you notice a stacked team, then switch teams.

Ok i refuse to back someone into an Uncap I will not even approach their uncap normally when pushed back except to catch people violating rules or the uncap and die alot doing so as an admin..I will as well continue to stay at a distance from their last flag except to run in and catch people using explosives into the uncap area..So not sure what games you were in or matches , rounds etc.. So Welcome to eGO's attempt to always soothe EGO of some players ..I baby sit more often than get to really try and play hard and i am just fine with it.. But mentioning k/d well i am content to kill anyone when given the opportunity. So my EGO is just fine..ty for asking or mentioning it

What do you mean switch to the losing side? I'm lucky if I get a win twice a day out of five or six hours of play. I've never had a positive K/D, never had a positive win/loss, so would you like to berate me for standing in the uncap with my knife getting killed to enforce our policies against firing in unprovoked and no explosives, since that has helped my death streak remarkably. I'm not sure when you were playing or what server, but most of our admins do a very good job handling the servers. Let them do their jobs and enjoy the game and not sit lock to the screen to see if everyone else is happy. After all, they are here to play. Admining is voluntary, and as I said before the majority of our admins do a very good job.

He is referring to switching from winning team to losing, and pushing back. When Killer played battlefield, he would often switch a bunch of us and himself to losing team in hopes of making the game last longer. Sometimes we would make comeback, other times we would lose. However, this only works if you have competent squad.

this is the reason if i don't switch i never attack the last base if we have A&B or C&B i stay in B and just spam random shells i want the enemy to have a base to attack from and yes i am one of those players that watches my KDR just look at my 'Dole Boy' account for proof of that lol.

However i see the point you make and i always say on teamspeak that ill switch stacked teams are no fun for any1

maybe scrambles mid game would be the answer or utilization of the nuke command (we used to do that on GDZ)

I do pay attention to my K/D ratio, and I don't like seeing a team get backed into their uncap. When I see that happen, the first thing I do is immediately throw the warning out to not enter or shoot into the main base. Even then, it takes away from the game/play time resulting from the numerous warnings/kicks that end up going out a lot of the time. I have also switched sides in the past to a losing team.

When I'm on the losing team? I will absolutely switch to recon if my team isn't pushing (And you know how much I LOATHE the over abundance of snipers). Numerous times my K/D has gone out the window being one of only a couple people trying to cap a base when the rest of the team does stuff such as:

- abandon/waste perfectly usable tanks in the open
- crash/waste the Apache/Havoc on purpose
- not spot/repair vehicles/hand out ammo
- forms a defensive line along the A base/woodline and hill or at the C base/ridge and rocks.

We have a lot of leeway compaired to other servers (amount of recon allowed, etc) and everyone is entitled to play how they wish. However, if a team collectively doesn't want to push? Then so be it.There is a big difference between a team who gets immediatly pushed into the uncap because the other side Blitzkrieged at the beginning and a team who simply forms a line at A/C and won't make an attempt. I usually won't switch to the latter.

I'll switch to the bagged side because I hate standing around doing nothing. Better to be fighting for a toehold than standing around waiting for 'them' to get it, but I don't generally switch to the losing team since I'm usually watching the flags, not the score. Kind of a catch 22, that.

Whenever 3 flags are down I yell "Please resist the urge to attack the uncap" because when it's like that, it's almost hard not to. I'm pretty sure I've done it myself in the heat of battle (see paragraph above), or at least pushed the line too far.

I think I've said it before...I die a lot, but I try to make up for it by doing the ammo and medkit thing, and I spot constantly. Outside of a very short period I haven't worried about my KD at all (tho it must have tuna and peas). Like the old saying : "If you're not dyin', you're not tryin'"

I'm with you Warpig. I think we are here to make it fun for everyone, 'else' if we have to. I didn't read your post as accusatory but as concerned...probably not from a single episode either. Most of the admins I see do do a pretty good job...some might have a hard time with the positive-reinforcement technique vs the 'you're all crap" method, but overall it's a pretty good team we've got here.

Reading my original post, I could understand if some thought it was accusatory, that really wasn't my intention, so I apologize for that, and I was on my man period writing that. But Ya I agree with you fellas, and I have also totally joined wookie ranks on a hill, iron Kaiser explained it best. Thx for posting guys

We all have...being a bush monkey is fun...just not when the whole team consists of them lol

This being said, I have consistently seen a few player(s) switch to an already stacked team at the beginning of a new game. Please do not team switch unless you are doing the match a service. I honestly feel like I cannot express my opinion on this behavior as it would reduce itself into a barrage of scalding invective. If I have to switch because teams are unbalanced fine so be it. It is better than sitting at B watching my team force the other into their spawn. But when I have to switch because someone else switched, it makes me want to stop playing on account of my disgust with unacceptable behavior. I shouldn't have to switch because you switched. Just don't. If you are on the loosing team, your switch button doesn't exist.
I feel as if I shouldn't have to switch teams to win.

I don't think the original post was accusatory at all, and I get what you guys are saying. I was on the losing side more than the winning yesterday; and they were still fun, fast paced games.

Moridous, you can and should feel like you can express your opinion on here. I caught flak from a couple guys on the U.S. team the other day because I switched to the Russian side, who happened to be winning. What I didn't do- and should have done, was explain that the Russians were having problems with a griefer and there was some confusion as to who was doing it.

When I kick AFKs and it knocks the other side down? I'll also go ahead and switch sometimes instead of waiting for auto balance to kick in. I dunno if that is frowned upon or not.

K/D doesn't mean anything when you lose the game. I giggle every time I see someone boasting of a high K/D when his or her team gets demolished by 1k on the ticker count.
