"Recently, allegations of match fixing in the Cevo Season 5 match between iBUYPOWER and NetCodeGuides.com came to our attention. The details are in this DailyDot article: http://www.dailydot.com/esports/match-fixing-counter-strike-ibuypower-netcode-guides/
We can confirm, by investigating the historical activity of relevant accounts, that a substantial number of high valued items won from that match by Duc “cud” Pham were transferred ( via Derek “dboorn” Boorn ) to iBUYPOWER players and NetCodeGuides founder, Casey Foster.
All together, the information we have collected and received makes us uncomfortable continuing any involvement with these individuals. Therefore we will be directing our CS:GO event partners to not allow any of the following individuals’ participation in any capacity in Valve-sponsored events:

Duc “cud” Pham
Derek “dboorn” Boorn
Casey Foster
Sam “Dazed” Marine
Braxton “swag” Pierce
Keven “AZK” Larivi?re
Joshua “Steel” Nissan

Professional players, their managers, and teams’ organization staff, should under no circumstances gamble on CS:GO matches, associate with high volume CS:GO gamblers, or deliver information to others that might influence their CS:GO bets.
In 2014 we witnessed the explosive growth of CS:GO as a competitive eSport, and 2015 has already started strong. But as CS:GO grows, it’s important to consider the substantial impact an individual professional Counter-Strike player has on the health and stability of their sport. Performing before an audience of millions of fans, they are ambassadors for their game – the strength of professional Counter-Strike comes from the integrity of its players and teams."

Guess I was wrong. RIP

There you have it. NIP didn't throw in the major, otherwise valvo would've caught them.

I"m still trying to figure out why this was announced today, and not before MLG (which isn't Valve-sponsored, is it?) Interesting timing as well as MLG just announced a partnership with Torqued (of which Steel is a founding member). Too much drama for a game.

C9 is and always will be the best chance for a NA team to win a title.

You're delusional.

C9 are past their peak and are only going downhill, which is exactly what Hiko said in his stream earlier today. That's why he left.

Liquid and CLG probably have the most room to grow and possibly win a major right now.
I've always said IBP threw that match, lol.

Skadoodle, Desi, and Hiko pretty much confirmed now on a team. Any guesses on who the other 2 are?

With Shahzam there is room to grow. The key will be figuring out how. There is still hope for the NA scene even with these people out. They are good players but who wants "these" people representing the NA scene? I'd rather have the class act of C9 work to improve and bring home a title.

I can see where you are coming from, BUT, c9 has been on a downfall since swag left the team. I don't see them improving considering the motivation, inter-team turmoil, and other factors going into this team. I can agree with having a class act rather then a proven match fixing team, but I guarantee you c9 will not go as far as they did at the end of 2013/early-mid 2014

We will see. I'm excited to see how they do this year.

So will the teams drop out of the next tourney? Fnatic will probably just crush every team then.

Huge punch in the face to the NA scene to lose talented players but not matter how good you are, titans will fall if hate and wrong is filled within their heads. I'm glad though that Skadoodle wasn't banned. He is one of the few players I look up too and is extremely humble, kind, and skilled. What most esport athletes should shrive to be and do.

I don't think steel will have a problem finding something to do in the scene. He did a great job at MLG with the position they gave him but for the others, time will tell. There's gonna be a time were they will have to step back due to age which all pro gamers must be aware of. Whens the time where they need to hang up their mouse and keyboard? It's mostly due to society but NA will have to wait for players to step it up as there are always gonna be younger players with faster reflexes or have more time and dedication to put into practice. Also, commitment and the drive.

ESEA did a good job and it's a step in the right path to making sure pro-gaming is taken seriously and cheaters will be punished.

Edit: Stemmler has stated that steel cannot be an observer for ESL.

Why do people keep saying Shroud to this new "NA Dream Team?" He is on C9. ;[
