None of my games work even CS:S

I bought a new monitor today and I apply everything so that it works, I go and play CS:S and then the monitor just blacks out and then goes to the desktop and then a black box shows in the middle of my monitor. Please send help!

Do you know what type of graphics card you're running?

And how is your monitor connected to your video card? DVI? VGA? Display Port? HDMI?

Since im assuming you purchased a higher def and bigger monitor. Maybe your graphics card/drivers need updated. I ran into a problem with my graphics card being too old and the drivers too new. I had to rollback to an older driver because it was stable.

Try getting the most recent driver update for your video card and run windows updates. Please fill us in on the specs of the video card.
