Arena Respawn - Update: Time Changes & Delay - Please Read!

Once again, we are going to have to delay the tournament.
Due to the number of requested time changes and an unforeseen family emergency, we will be postponing to the upcoming weekend. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, however, it must be done.
This is February 6th, 7th and 8th. Opening matches will be played all weekend, with the semi-finals falling on Friday, February 13th and the final match on Sunday, February 15th.

We do this in hopes to bring a more quality tournament and so that the event goes as planned and is operated in a fair manner.
We understand that the delays are inconvenient for some of you but this is the best we can do to accommodate the largest number of teams.

In regards to schedule changes and time change requests. We are not allowing either.
Instead, we have structured the schedule to be more accommodating, based on feedback from those signed up and those we've turned to for guidance.

Time windows will be as follows:
Friday, February 6th, 6PM EST to 12AM (Midnight) EST
Saturday, February 7th, 3PM to 9PM EST
Sunday, February 8th, 3PM to 9PM EST
Friday, February 13th, 3PM to 9PM EST
Sunday, February 15th, 3PM to 9PM EST

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but this is in hopes to be more accommodating to everyone involved as best we can.
Please be available at these times, as these are the set times when matches will be played.
If you cannot make it for whatever reason, we apologize but we simply cannot make changes to the schedule due to the magnitude of signups.

This also allows for more time to practice. I know there have been some questions on how the games will go. They will be best two out of three, with matches lasting approximately 20 minutes apiece. Each round will be allowed one ban on a class, the same class cannot be banned twice in a row. and the only weapon restriction is the vaccinator.

We have ten servers set up, ready to go. All you need to do is join. All are equipped with Logs.tf. Here are the addresses:

So you aren't practicing all 10 maps at once, the first round of matches will be played on the following maps: offblast, draft, coalplant
The final match will be played on the following maps: arctic, stallone, rundown, discovery, draft

Again, I apologize for all the delays and apparent un-organization. This has been a learning experience for some of us and given the unforeseen circumstances, I feel things were moving smoothly for an event of this size. We are very excited to be doing this and if all goes well, we shall see you next year to do it again.

The scheduling thread will be updated ASAP. We are working very hard to get this finished. Friday and Saturday preliminary scheduling has been created and will be posted ASAP, however, keep in mind it will be subject to change with requested time changes being added.

What if a team has no way of making their match?

Also, I messaged Insomnia Princess about a roster change on the 17th and it hasn't been fixed yet. For context, my teammate's joke was misinterpreted as a creation of a new team, and now I see that fake team on the Challonge day 2 tournament.

We're filling the bracket completely tomorrow to release before the end of the weekend.
This includes the schedule.

I need to know the fake team name so I can not include it.
Your roster is fine. Just show up and play.

I thought it would be fine for him to keep his post like that, but I noticed that you put Aqua's name under the "GX FORCE" team. Aqua meant to sign-up for the Party Team. You guys have a typo. The map arena_coalmine_b2 doesn't exist. I have asked awk, the creator of A:R, if there was such a version. He told me that there was only the b1 version.

The map list was typed up at 3am one night after talking to him. It has been fixed.
The map is on the server correctly.
 
Alright. That was the last straw. The Teachers is done, remove us from the roster. This event was handled like crap, and I'm honestly ashamed.

1 delay is fine, yaknow shit happens and that.

But this is ridiculous, I gotta get my girl from the airport next weekend and I can't trust all these schedules are right, seeing how we're had to delay twice now

And my teams quite tired of it too

So we did a vote and the outcome was a 4 to 1 for leaving the tourney

So the Fightmen are out, sorry if this throws even more issues into this already slow and painfully bad planned event, but we can't keep doing this

Sorry, but..

I can't keep telling my boss to let me leave work early only to find the tourney is pushed again. He's a nice guy and all, but even he might start getting annoyed with this and frankly, so am I.

I am sorry for whatever emergency has happened and I hope everything is ok, but because of this second delay, Im afraid I'm going to have to pull out of the tourney.

My team is the Teufort Triggermen, and you can replace me with OatZ as the captain. I hope you can spare them two wildcards.

Again,sorry for whathas happened, but I can't schedule around another delay.

For a gaming community that has "organisation" in the name there is rather a lack thereof.
 
It keeps us all on edge dont it. Looking optimistcally however this should be better now that its 2 weekends not crammed into 1 weekend.
