Aight! Are there any punk-rock fans in here? If so, what if your fav bands and why?

Personally, my all-time favorite would be Bad Religion ( Punk-rock wouldn't exist in america if it wasn't of them (read it up! Graffin made it all happen! )

Oldschool GreenDay, I'm talking here about Kerplunk, Nimrod and Dookie.

The Offspring! : Ohhhh my! How can we get into punkrock withour stating those guys! Dex was amazing in that all time classic "Smash" and Ignition!

NoFx, Pennywise, Decendents, No use for a Name, Lagwagon, Anti-flag
I've got way more but meh! I don't want this wall of text to be more WoT than it is right now!

What are your favorite punk-rock bands?

The only band I know of as punk-rock is The Offspring (only since you listed it :P ) - usually I think of Alt-Rock.

Still remember 'All I Want' from a Dreamcast game 'Crazy Taxi' >.<

The Adolescents, Black Flag, The Descedents, FEAR, Zero Boys, 7 Seconds, MINOR THREAT, etc.

You should check out documentaries, movies, comp albums on youtube, and digging around the web for uploaded mp3's of bands. Some music that I have heard and found will be lost and forgotten due to it not being up on youtube.
Here's a compilation of bands that hardly had an existence and for good listen.

The Replacements, Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, Elway, The Bouncing Souls, old school Rise Against, and Hot Water Music. Then there is probably one of my new favorite bands, The Menzingers.

Rise Against's first album was gold!

i think the only band i really listen to are scene or punk, but honestly its just who you ask where the bands i listen too fall under. love me some rise against and some of green days more political stuff.

Blink 182, Midtown, Offspring, Zebrahead, Motion City Soundtrack.... just to name a few.

On the older side I like The Clash, Dead Kennedys and Ramones.

I like me some Motion City Soundtrack. I got to see them a few years back. Right before they released My Dinosaur Life.

Also, Blink 182's new guitarist is the guitarist/co-singer of Alkaline Trio, Matt Skiba. It'll be interesting if they let him do any vocals.

Edit: Also forgot to add Against Me! to the list.

Against me <3

Their new album is pretty good. It's a little more like their old stuff.

Apparently. all it takes is a sex change to get you back to your roots.

Hahaha!

So you're saying their latest is suprisingly new and back to their original sound?

Let me warn you this is going to be a long list as Punk/hardcore/scrams is one of the genres I listen the most to.

To start it out: All time favorite would go to Dead Kennedys as "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" is, imo, the greatest accomplishment of the entire genre.

Following that would be, in no particular order, Black Flag, Rites of Spring, Misfits/Samhain, Descendents, Circle Jerks, Husker Du, Bad Religion, Offspring, Rise Against, Sex Pistols, Say Anything, The Wonder Years, Minor Threat, Embrace, Fugazi, Brand New, Toche Amore, Converge, Saetia, Botch, Dillinger Escape Plan, Against Me!, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Damned, early Green Day, Pg. 99, Gospel, Off Minor, La Dispute, Defeater, Pianos Become the Teeth, and Orchid.

I included bands from the 90's emo/screamo genres since they were sub-genres of punk. I also did the same with some of the metallic hardcore bands such as Converge. (I refuse to say the actual name of that genre.)

My favourite band is Pennywise, hope to see them before they disappear.
88 Fingers Louie, what a band!!
A.F.I!! his early records.
Face To Face!!
Lagwagon!!
Millencolin!!
MXPX!!
No Use For A Name!!
Strung Out!!

Oh!! what beautiful memories...
