What kind of accomplishments have you made in the tech world?

I built my entire computer from the ground up, ordered the parts, and built it with my own hands. Really makes you proud, like it's a child and that's why I call it "My Baby". (I have also used my Dad's CCN machine to cut out the Aperture Science logo on the side panel! Want pictures?)

I also created a ghetto graphics cards fan for a GeForce 5200. It was an old intel CPU fan, I ripped off the heatsink, got a power cord that connected to a fan power outlet on the mobo, wired it up and it works like a charm!
 
uhhh... i rewired a dirtbike engine to my bicycle... its fast and goes over 30 mph
 
Umm... I'm a huge tech junky and I built my first computer at the age of 12 (still runs great, in fact it's my server computer right now). I also help around with everyone's computers in my family, and I'm on my way to building my third P.C. right now. I'm also creating a tech web site specific to educating people about ways to troubleshoot their computers/common problems and fixes such as the dreaded nv4_disp.dll BSOD problem that's so 'hard' to deal with. It'll be done in a few months, considering I'm still working on graduating early (May 29th and I'm out!). Oh, and I was totally the best ret pally on my server.
 
I've built my two computers. I've successfully overclocked my GPU/CPUs well past their rated specs.
 
Uhh well i built my pc from the ground up and managed to overclock my proc from 2.6ghz to 3.5ghz.

Im currently working on a project in for a school presentation with a friend. in the project we have to design build and program a VEX robot to navigate any maze by itself. We are id say about 80% done with it. were just wating for our teacher to build a maze.
 
I work at a tech shop and fix computers. I know, lame. But it pays. :) The most fun I've had with technology is taking turning a digital camera into a taser.. yeah.
 
I've built several computers. Probably my biggest tech feat was one summer at the bank I work I purchased, installed, and configured over 50 Dell computers (we finally upgraded from Windows 98 to XP...) and then reformatted and reconfigured approximately 20 more. Took me 2 months as I worked by myself!
 
Uh, well last Thursday I accepted a job offer as Director of IT. I'd say I'm fairly accomplished.

Oh, and I have, of course, built my current gaming PC from scratch. :)
 
I work as a computer trainer at the labs in Los Alamos, birthplace of the bomb. There are a lot of exceptionally talented web developers there, and I was told at one point that I am one of the top three web developers there. It's doubly cool, because I don't actually work in the IT department at all.
 
I ordered and picked out MOST of the parts by myself. I took it to a place to learn how to build it and actually built it myself for the first time. Of course i had a little help from an employee.
 
I've built two computers, which I have to say is an EXTREMELY satisfying achievement. Aside from that, this story is my favorite of all my tech accomplishments.

When I was in junior high, I was very interested in physics and chemistry way before I should have been. We had a tech class, and my teacher asked me to compete in a science competition the day before it happened. I guess one of his participants dropped out and he needed to fill a slot.

In the competition, I had to take a 20-question test over electricity and the physics of electricity, and was the only participant in the entire thing who answered all the questions correctly. This earned me a spot in the finals which would take place one hour after the first round. My teacher said to me, "I hate to be this honest with you, but I didn't expect you to make it to the finals" (and to be one of only two from my school to make it). He said this to me because he didn't prepare me for the finals. He told me that I had to look at a schematic, decipher it, and build a working circuit based on the drawing.

Keep in mind that I had no experience with circuits or schematics before this. In just a few minutes, he explained how to read a schematic and how to build a circuit using a solderless circuit board. I went into the finals and finished third for my region, which allowed me to go to the state competition and finish third there, as well.

I always tell that story during job interviews. ;-)

I started working on computers when I was 9 (25 now) by tearing down and rebuilding a 286, and writing software in BASIC for my Commodore 64. That's still the most programming I've ever done to this day =P I've built numerous computers, I did a few custom cases for some of my dad's customers (I helped him start a computer repair shop a few years ago).

I ran a cluster of 50 linux boxes running 2 CS or TFC servers per box for a few years, which isn't really much work except when grepping through hundreds of megs of logfiles for ban requests, and the always fun patch day. This was all pre-Steam, so I'm not sure if that's gotten any easier =)

Right now I'm working as a Draftsman / Modeler in the design engineering department at a luxury boat manufacturer, doing a lot of AutoCAD and SolidWorks stuff. I dabble in a lot of things, but I'm trying to finish the last year on my Bachelors degree (Criminal Justice Administration, would like to get a second in Computer Forensics and get into the CyberCrime Division of the FBI)
 
I have built 4 computers and working on a 5th. I have started my own little business, QC Custom Computers and got my Q6600 to got to 3ghz on a P5N-E SLI thanks to some help from overclock.net (Its a hard board to OC a quad on)
 
WEll I had a local company build my computer, but I have changed, heatsink, power supply, ram, video card, HDD's, DVD-bruners, and dual booted Vista and XP, and Vista 32bit and Vista 64 bit

What's the reasoning for dualbooting Vista 32 and 64? Legacy driver support? Im running 64 Ultimate and haven't found a true 32bit program yet that doesn't work flawlessly
