Hey everyone,

I just got this quote as I am inquiring about getting a new computer and wanted your opinions

I would recomend a SSD drive in addition to the HDD, it makes a lot of difference with game load times, pc reboot times etc and the SSD's have really came down in price so they are very reasonable. I have a 250gb and thats plenty for me for the OS and my games and programs. Also, depending on what games you like, you may look at aa GTX 970 4gb if you can, it's a little more money "about $330," but I think it would make a big difference, it's the "most for the money" card right now and will future proof you for a while. So for about a hundred dollars, you can go from a good card, to one of the best. (but that's just an opinion, it really just depends on your preferences) But I will say, after having a SSD, I will never use a HDD for my operation system drive. Use the HDD for storage. These two things will add approximately $200 to your cost, but will make it an entirely different machine
 
I have a feeling this could be less expensive. ...

The gfx card doesnt even have that X in the name...im pretty sure you can do a better building it yourself

Overpriced. I think you're overpaying by about $300, maybe $400. Yes, the two year warranty helps alleviate, but

PSU: 5 year warranty
CPU: 3 year warranty
Mobo: 3 year warranty
RAM: Lifetime
GPU: 2 year warranty

The individual parts have longer warranties than what you're getting as a whole. That's why I'm saying that should really cost you less.... If I was to do a quick guess of all the parts, including the case, I'm figuring it would all cost to around $1000, give or take a hundred...

Ya i tend to agree. I built a pc that had a 970 geforce and roughly everything else the same but was still cheaper then that.
 
Yeah he is overpaying for it. Checked amazon and the total came to 1020.84.
