Tech Help Recomendation for Website Hosting.

What website hosting companies do people here recommend? I'm in the process of setting up a political blog/news site that will be running wordpress and I need to pick a host. Looking for some suggestions/help on who to decide on for a host.
Currently I'm deciding between GoDaddy, Arvixe, and Siteground.
Leaning towards Siteground currently.

What I'm looking for in a host:
As Secure as Fort Knox- Needs great security against(DDOS protection is a +)
Reliable
US hosting
Runs cPanel
Good Customer Service
Easy Wordpress setup / Wordpress management
Fast
Anti-Spam

As a side note: I'm totally new to running websites. I've run many servers on a variety of games over the years and I've briefly moderated on a website before so I'm not completely green to administrating and the technical end of things.

ipage would be good. I used that before I switched to GoDaddy.
 
i have only used one. http://1and1.com. started using them in 2004 when they launched in the US. Was very satisfied with their service. Used it to host various clan sites throughout the years till i joined eGO.

Right now they have a deal for $0.99/mo for first year then $6.99 per month after that year is up. they don't use cPanel, but use one they developed themselves that is very easy to use.

They treated me good and was very easy to cancel when i was ready to.
 
I myself have used 1and1 just for personal use.
For more serious use I used Bluehost for my STEM college at my university when I was their web admin. They have pretty much everything that you need and different options.
 
Decided on SiteGround, a bunch of people along with a friend of mine who owns a few websites recommended them.
