Since joining and having to adhere to the no swearing rule, I find myself swearing less when I'm at home and work ect ect . And some people say that no good can come from playing videogames? !lol

That's awesome, playing a shooter reduced your desire to swear. Might have had the same effect on me, if Rock Band parties weren't more than compensating.

Heh, I am in some ways glad to say that this place hasn't really changed my swearing/talking with other people in a friendly way habits. I have been working as a community manager (moderator/administrator) On a number of other forums for Several years. Doing that just teaches you good habits in general, because you are after all, setting an example for all of the members.

I have had the same effect I have found my self actually getting better at holding my cursing.
Its like it comes natural not to curse I hated how it was so easy.
Responsibility causes change I think.

Yeah, I can attest to fuse getting better. I almost banned him once for a bad attitude (sorry bud ), but he's really gotten a lot cooler since then.

I have also cut down on my IRL swearing. A lot. Now only one of 3 words is a swear, not one out of 2. :-D

That's one of the reasons that I like eGO so much, they have a pretty strict policy on this stuff. Makes it a better place to play IMO

hahahah yep thats when i first joined the clan

I was so used to EVERYONE swearing on the old game i used to play (gunz), it had a horrible community. When i found out swearing was not allowed in the clan, i stopped and never did it again

Different situation for me. I curse like a Sailor...Go figure, I am one. I make up for the deficit during the day while I'm at work during the night. I just treat playing here the same as when I'm with my grandparents, and so far no slipups. Better than I can say for around my grandparents
