Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Such thing as CT sided maps?

It's me again! Roar. Does anyone know if there's a thing known as a CT Sided map or is that a theory. If so do you prefer them or you dont?

It depends by what map it is
For example I hate the dust 2 in source(to bright) and love it in GO -CT sided map

Love Mirage map on GO- CT sided love playing on both teams

I agree with the data (when talking about competitive teams). The data shows a very small margin between sides on most maps. I think that when playing MM with random people, the data doesn't translate the same. Playing T-side tends to be 'easier' for a team not familiar with each other as CT side on bomb maps playing 5v5 tends to require a bit more teamwork, familiarization with roles /rotates etc. Just my $0.02

Yes. there are ct sided maps, but the ENTIRE GAME is CT sided. Most maps that are an average of 8-7 or 9-6 for cts is just due to the game being ct sided in general. Maps such as Nuke, Mirage, and Inferno are indeed CT sided.

The graph that Helpless Glint posted is taken from matchmaking, which is usually a group of random people with no chemistry, so that is not quite accurate for the actual representation of which side the maps favor. If you were to take an average from pro matches, then that would be more accurate. You can look at map scores at hltv.org.

EDIT: I would also like to add that the graph is from quite a long time a go, so some of the maps have been updated since then and their balance may have been changed.

The graph was more for reference that there are CT sided maps(myth busters hahaha). But you guys are right. It's all about the chemistry of the team. In comp and casual it all depends with who you play. For example in Mirage that's CT sided I had a huge loss in comp 12 T- 3 CT(first half playing as CT) due to the fact there was no communication(they even had mics). Would call A or B and they would just ignore the call or would wait at the exits of the respective sites and camp while waiting for the Ts when running away to save before the bomb would explode. But did have some great matches when playing Cache, Nuke or Mirage where I would start as T and would win heavily due to communication and some good players. For example I played Cache last night(first time playing the map ever) told my team and came up with a nice strategy- ask them what bomb site they wanted to go, would buy flashes and would rush the site spinning like crazy and try to get at least one out so they could see in the radar the position of the opponents. The first half we won 8-7 and when the teams switched we haven't had a loss and won the comp.

I think that if a map is sided towards either side really depends on the team you have. Go into MM with a bunch of people you don't know and the results usually won't be pretty.

Most likely was talking about jail maps but I guess it can relate but anyway thanks for the graph I do play de_dust and I thought cts have a great advantage but really Terrorists have the best advantage. Anyway thanks.

Jail maps are always CT sided since they have guns and were in a cell, the only way its too easy for the T's is if there are too many guns/vents in cells and if the cts are bad.
