Counter-Strike: Global Offensive A Small, But Important Message

By befriending those who frequent Jail and 1v1, we can both strengthen the division and create the desired player-base we need to truly be successful. If you see anyone who has a good attitude, hangs around either server a fair amount, and understand our rules, give them a shout-out and friend them on Steam. It would also be better to focus on one potential recruit at a time to give them a better impression and get them involved into eGO should they join. There's the possibility that there may be strong recruits who spread word of eGO to their friends and get them involved. If we can all be involved in recruiting and not just the Recruitment Coordinators team, we can see ourselves stronger than ever!

tl;dr Bring in any potential recruits you see in the CS:GO Jail and 1v1 servers and get them involved in eGO. Even if they do not join eGO immediately, show them around and keep the idea in their minds.

I would recommend not going after the first person you see. Look for people who are reoccurring. You don't want to look like your only mission is to recruit people. You want to show them that it will be a fun time, every time on the server. Then they'll maybe come back a second time around... or a third time. When they do that, that is the perfect time when you should really ask them.

Anyways just my observation and opinion. Asking first timers have to join usually scares them away.

I forgot to add that a good idea to introduce one to eGO is to try to get a recruit to create a "Welcome" or "New to eGO" thread to get them to know the community and give them a warm welcome. An alternative would be to make a thread of our own welcoming them to boast credibility along with the 2 aforementioned points. We do not want to lose any recruits to inactivity.

We use to make threads for all new members that we saw but then it was seen as spam and it didn't make the individual feel special in anyway since they see all of these other threads welcoming everyone else, I think if you get them in teamspeak you can pretty much get them interested in the whole concept of our community if they're not overhauled by it all.
