Also, remember to update your MAUL notes when you happen to ban someone. Divisional Leadership, including ComMgrs, are reminding you that it is required to update your MAUL notes for ALL bans! We expect all bans to have notes in them, regardless of length, and we urge you all to update them ASAP after a ban. This is a requirement--not a triviality. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary actions.
MAUL notes allow leadership to review the situation and make fair determinations in the event of a contest. They also allow us to identify trends for repeat offenders and combat their specific problem more directly. When you ban an individual, take a minute to update the MAUL notes with the following information:
-A short summary of why the player was banned, and why you banned for the duration you specified.
-An affirmation that you followed W/K/B procedures, or skipped the W or K where appropriate.
-Supporting evidence to affirm the ban's legitimacy. This will include either a condump, screenshot, demo, or any combination of the aforementioned examples that directly contributed to your rationale for the ban.
For those who don't know how to update your MAUL notes:
1. Click on the "eGO Tools" icon then Ban System.
2. A list of players that you have banned.
3. Find the player in question and click on the reason.
4. Click 'Edit Notes'.
5. In the space provided type in a brief description of why you banned a player.
6. Click on 'Save Notes'
7. You're done!
