Day 1 of the Alesso Heist is upon us, revealing that yes it will be a paid DLC, and it has some freaking awesome music in store for us apparently.

This heist looks freaking awesome, what with all the screens displaying video feed all over the place, a concert hall (don't know if we can get into it, but there is a screen of Chains hacking a computer on the tech board above it), back loading areas, kitchen...

Check back the next couple days for the next data drop and the Thursday release (during which I'll be at a freaking track meet, 3rd to last of the season thankfully)!

Not a lot offered today past the weapons and a plug for Alesso's album. What is shown however is a Matever .357 auto-revolver with a few of its mods and melee weapons in the form of a mic stand, microphone (new meaning to the phrase "mic drop" I guess), a metal detector (the handheld ones, not the full body scanners obviously), and a good ol' fashioned baton.

Yes, that's right, now you get to let the cloakers who frequently beat us senseless with a baton find out just how painful it is.

As always, Day 3 promises to be the mask/pattern/texture drop. I'm really hoping they didn't just go subtle paint job differences for all the masks like the Dallas mask with the Alesso emblem in lieu of the stars. I'd love to see something far more 'out there'...

Launch day hits along with a number of bug fixes for different heists and whatnot. A little disappointed in the masks (although the Dallaesso mask isn't one of them), but they're not bad. Just kind of wish there was only one Concert Goer one instead of the route they took of "Mr. & Mrs. Mannequin". Don't get me wrong however, I do like the styling on the two of them. Cantus looks interesting, but a little bland for me. And Boom Box? Well, he looks fairly similar to the Alienware-only "Anomaly" mask... Honestly it probably looks a bit better IMO.

Most people on the forums seem to be enjoying the new heist, which as stated a while back is stealth or loud-based. I even joked last night in a game about concert-goers hearing an explosion and dismissing it as a bass note, which hysterically is actually a part of the heist in stealth. XD
Also while stealthing it, you're going to need to keep the pyrotechnics up, else they're going to know something's up. And for those old hand Payday players who miss Safe Room, word is this heist has some remembering it fondly as you need to blow holes up into the vaults...
