New Hardware Computer build 2.0

Ok, so I'm getting a new computer soon and me and my grandfather(we're both kinda computer crazy) are gonna build it together. I wanted to put the specs in here to see what you tech's thought about it and if you have any input before we order the parts. *NOTE* we already have a case for it by cooler master we will be using
CPU: AMD FX-9370 8x @ 4.40 GHz
CPU cooling: Corsair H55 liquid
RAM: 16Gb DDR3-1600 Corsair vengeance
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 4Gb
MoBo: Gigabyte 990FXA 4x PCI
HDD: 1tb @ 7200 rpm, 32m cache
2ns HDD: 500Gb @ 7200 rpm, 16M cache
PSU: 650W Corsair

970 really! We're not what you call rich, and can't afford a 980, unless your telling me to drop to a 960 wich I kindly refuse. Instead of just shutting me down like that, have any advice or an idea on an alternate thing? I have this thing called a budget of 1100 and it fit perfect

For 1100 you can most defiantly get the GTX 980 just some small changes plus SSD add or remove some things im sure ull get my point if thats something you want

I'm not really very hyped over AMD CPUs since I've had a more than a few bad apples with AMD CPUs. Really a 1TB and 500GB HDD, go for a 2TB Barracuda at only over $73 and a 250GB ssd for that epic read speeds.

For something that could rival even my sister's small form factor computer here is a modified version of it (had to swap for a ATX board and replace the 1TB SSD with a 250GB SSD and 2TB HDD)
