Sound Cards? Internal/External help.

Hey guys, so I am looking at getting a sound card and was wondering if any of you guys are experts on them?

Are soundcards worth it? I have a msi z97 gaming 5 (not sure what audio onboard it has)
Will as soundcard improve the sound i receive compared to my current mobo?
How big is the difference between usb soundcard or internal one?
Is the clarity of audio / mic a big difference?
Any other pros / cons of getting a sound card and if you have any suggestions please reply with them. External vs internal

Price is like max ?100 so not looking for the best here but something that's good.
I use the Q-pad QH-1339 headset which is expensive in itself and has a little usb soundcard that I can get but not sure if another card would be better.

Just better sound quality, I have no suggestions on which you should get, as I do not have one myself, but if you enjoy having crisp, clear sound. I'd highly recommend it.

Any recommendations guys??? Ive seen a good soundblaster one but it's sold out everywhere

edit: gunna get the creative soundblaster zx i think.
