4 real though, CS;S is imho a thing of the past and maybe the odd special event would be good on it royal rumble etc but CSGO is the future, where everyone needs to be and where eGO needs to be.

Afraid to say it, but I'll have to agree with Ex here. While I still greatly enjoy CS:S, there just isn't enough of a player-base left to work with and not many potential recruits on Italy or Dust_2 because almost all pubs there have been in eGO in the past. However, with CS:GO, there are hundreds of thousand of players every day and countless amounts of people who may very well end up in eGO. CS:S has had its run and can still yield nights of glory, but for the most part, the ship has already sunk and it's time to move on. Maybe in the future once we are well established in CS:GO that CS:S events may pop up again, but until then, we need to focus on the future, not the past.

We here at the NMsniper squad of Event Coordination would like to answer your question of CS:S Events.
We originally got rid of them due to lack of attendance with events getting maybe 5 at max per event. With that being said we may be bringing back occasional CS:S Impromptu events such as we did a couple weeks back.
Currently though there is not enough support for source events to be put back in the schedule, but stay on the lookout for impromptu events hosted by many of our wonderful ECs.

NMsniper, not everyone on eGO servers comes on the forum and check the date and hours for an event..
What if one day you join Italy Server or Dust 2 server.. and the servers are almost full.... you could just start an event right away (if you have time of course).. I am sure a lot of them would join the event server and check it out.. maybe some of them won't like it and will leave.. but who cares
i dont know..just thiking out loud..

The thing with dust 2 in my own opinion is id rather not touch that server, the people who play there only want to play dust2. Events are not things we want people to leave a server for to play on. Events is another way to have fun in the community.
You are right about not everyone checks the forums and dates and hours for event, but 90% of the time events are at the same time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We also have a steam group that anyone can be invited and join to know when an event is starting, when events are going to start, and what event is it going to be for the entire month.
My point is that events are here for the community to have fun and to earn free stuff like achievements and games. If you want people on any server to join events, talk about events and invite them to the CS Steam Group. It helps people know about them more if you spread the word.
