Just after a long session of TF 2, i just thought about this.

Would it be possible to build a few dream teams with the best players out there? The high ranked ego's could be given one team each to fill, drafting players for some upcoming event?

Dream team vs dream team, draft a few extra players as bench warmers in case some of them dont show up... it is not the easiest thing to organize but it might be fun to try.

What about the Council/Advisor pick random names out of a hat, or something, and make a team.

sounds interesting, kinda sounds like the one event coming up where they took the top 250 people on hlxstats

I think there should be tryouts. anyone who wants in to a dream team : you go play on a server with recruiters for 1 hour. some will spectate, some will play with them. they will look at the stats afterwards, and if they like them, they will be inducted.

As with anything that people have to try out for, some rather large heads will emerge and those people will complain that they A) Couldn't make the tryouts because of x, y or z. B ) Clearly they are better than those picked and should be on the team, never mind that they didn't bother with the tryouts. C) Weren't picked because they aren't team focused and got looked over for somebody who maybe was less skilled on an individual basis but was more of a team player.

Of course long time readers (as in less than a month ago) will recognize where this came from and can silently giggle to themselves about it. Please no name dropping. Thanks!

I LOVE THIS IDEA, but to stop the complainers why dont you set them aside as bench warmers.

Being the scrim captain, this would be horribly difficult to organize, and far to competitive. I know your new here Captain Mental, but we have had problems with complaining and general whining when things get too competitive. (during Dog tag scrims, etc.)

So as of right now we're just going to be having the WTB and the Dog Tag scrims as far as competition goes. This sounds a bit too much like CAL, and CAL for Tf2 failed horribly.

So it may not be a good time to get more competitive in our inner clan events, but maybe in time.
