Anyone got the Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU (Quad Core 4GHz, Socket H3 LGA-1150) ?

If so have you overclocked it? If yes what too? Have you made it higher than 4.7 and do you think 4.7 is stable?

I am wondering the same thing. I want to upgrade my CPU but have to save up for that.

I was about to buy that CPU but went with the i5-4690K Devil's Canyon instead. Reviews suggest it overclocks very well and is plenty fast for gaming. About $100 cheaper than the i7 too.

Managed to get a stable OC of 4.7ghz 1.3v Stress testing saw it go to a maximum of 67 and gaming hasn't gone over 38ish so pretty darn cool.

I have this CPU and I am in love with it. I have overclocked to a stable 4.7 GHz and I'm really not anxious to go any higher since I'm not sure my H100i will be able to handle the heat even with it set up in a push/pull config. Do I suggest this CPU, yes, but for most I suggest the i5-4690K since most people don't need hyper-threading
