So I'm in the process of purchasing my first PWC and wondered if there were any experts out there.
Ill be buying a 1997 Seadoo GTX with 200 hours. Hull is clean as a whistle, no rips in the seats, gauges work, original owner, and all paperwork for ski and maintenance. $400 including trailer.
The owner has used it already this season and it ran great but while preforming maintenance and trying to remove the head cover he broke a connection point. "You will just need a new head cover. Part where water intake connects broke. When removing bolts they snapped."
I have found that used replacement head covers run about $40 (+ - $10) on ebay.
Now I'm moderately experienced with 2 stroke engines (mostly lawn equipment) and I cant put replacing head covers and broken connection where water intake connects together. How would those 2 things be related? Isn't there a small hose connection on the head cover for fuel?
Anyway, I need stop over thinking when I have a wealth of internet knowledge in front of me! :thumbup:
