MAUL for Battlefield has arrived!

Similar to our current Steam and Minecraft implementations, members and admins will now be able to verify their Battlefield accounts. Supporting BC2, BF4, and BF:HL. Be sure to check out the eG and eGO forums for admin changes.

Many admins from our previous system have been imported into MAUL 2.0 already. If your MAUL account is absent, do not fret, simply follow the steps provided here.

Some Battlefield admins may also notice that their MAUL rank is not accurate. If this is the case, then please send a private forum message to DarkRaven or Major_Shrapnel.<div>

I loved MAUL in my DoD days and the fact we can do it this way in BF is nothing short of kick ass.
This is really great guys, thank you for implementing this.

hi GunSmithCatR9,

Basically, MAUL is a unified admin platform that spans the different eGO MAUL-enabled servers.
Easier for me to explain it like this:
For example, for years the TF2 servers (multiple) were all MAUL servers. That meant that eGs and eGOs would register their unique STEAM ID in the MAUL system, which is accessed via this website in your user control panel. If you were playing a game of TF2 and an issue came up that required a ban (temp or perm), you would hop off the game, hop over to the MAUL control panel on this website, and log your ban info. That ban info would include the STEAM ID of the offending player, and any pertinent notes as to the reason of the ban, including logs, etc. The ban would take effect and populate across all the MAUL-enabled servers running that platform. In short, if you were banned on the TF2 2fort server, you'd find yourself automatically banned on all the other eGO TF2 servers as well. That's it.

The news is that now the Battlefield servers are running MAUL as well, so the ban would take effect across the servers.

You still have to "file paperwork" on a ban for record. That keeps the admins honest and allows for peer review in case a banned user wishes to contest the ban.

So in short, the best thing is that it's all kept in one place, and bans are populated across the servers, and you can run reports on your bans without having to dig through forums to find ban requests.

Definitely an amazing program to have on our servers! These type of things are why I'm happy to be in Edge-Gamers!
