Battlefield Division Admin Scenarios of the Month COMPLETED

Welcome to the Admin Scenarios this will help for current and future admins! Twice a month there will be new scenarios up for you all to consider. Hopefully this will give you the chance to think about the scenarios and what actions you would need to take as an Admin and future e,eG,eGO Admins, without the stress of needing an immediate decision in game. That way, if or when you encounter the same scenario in game, you'll already have a good idea of what needs to be done without having to wonder if you're actions are correct or not.

At the end of 2 weeks depending on when it was posted, we will post the correct answer for everyone to see, followed shortly by new questions in a different thread.


1 Indecent names: You join one of our server, and a player by the name of "ass.com" is already there. Immediately after you join, another player named "ballsac" joins. Neither of them are causing any problems. Using your best judgement and within reason,
Which player(s) need to change their name, and why?
The name 'ballsac' is appropriate, because it directly refers to a portion of the human anatomy. ass.com on the other hand is not allowed its advertising not allowed on our servers please ask the player to change his name if he doesn't respond 'kick for advertising'

2 Kicked after warnings: You've been playing on our servers for about an hour, when a few players start to get unruly braking rules etc. There are a couple of warnings given for language when "Anyplayer" decides to drop the F-bomb himself. "Anyplayer" immediately rejoins and asks "Why was I kicked?"
How do you answer this question?
Explain to him why he/she was kicked, in a calm and respectful manner

3 Female player harassed: While playing on our server you hear a player, "Anyplayer" speak up on voice, to warn about incoming red players. The voice is female. IMMEDIATELY, this player is bombarded with things like "OMG are you a girl?" and "Will you go out with me?" in both voice and text, even drawing comments from the other players.
How do you handle this situation?
One server-wide warning
"Sexism or sexual harassment over gender is not tolerated on eGO servers. Please do not do so."
will be given out.

4 Spamming Chat in non english language: Your are playing in our server and some players are going back and forth spamming chat with a different languages
How do you handle this situation?
Type in global admin chat use say command "Please use English in chat" if they still going ad it, kick for 'Server Disruption'

5 Foulmouthed e,eG,eGO members: Your are playing on our server and kill another member and suddenly he types this In chat "WHAT THE F-Bomb IS WRONG WITH YOU?? YOU HACKER"
How do you handle this situation?
Warn the member in chat or Team Speak and advise him/her to our code of conduct if he/she continues Please kick from server and inform your Advisor

1 Indecent names: ass.com would have to be changed. His name is linking to website which prob shows some type of porn. PLUS eGO does not allow this. ballsac Well we thats a though one. I would say eh its okay.

2 Kicked after warnings: Anyplayer we kicked you after we asked you to please watch your lang and respect everyone. PLEASE type @rules to read the rules.

3 Female player harassed I would ask them to Please stop harassing other players. If they contuine to do so i would kick them for harassing players

4 Spamming Chat in non english language: Would do a global message asking to please use English in main chat. If they did not i would kick for SERVER DISRUPTION!

5 Foulmouthed e,eG,eGO members I would /pyell that player or if in teamspeak do the following. i would refer them to go read eGO rules of the members and give them a warning about accusing players of hacking and eGO members are not a loud to use foul langue in chat.\

1 Indecent names: I would let them be as long as they didn't stir up trouble.

2 Kicked after warnings: You were all warned and you were the first to swear after the being warned.

3 Female player harassed: "/s Please Respect all players." Start kicking ones who don't stop.

4 Spamming Chat in non English language: Please use English only on this US based server.

5 Foulmouthed e,eG,eGO members: Warn them in team speak or squad chat. They should know the rules. Warn then kick scenario, unless it was an eG or eGO I would probably let a DL know about it.

And as always. DO it with a smile on your face and a skip in your step.

1. "ass.com" is advertising. We do not allow advertising on our server.

2. You was warned to respect all players on eGO server.

3. Ask if she is feeling harassed, if so kick those player who did. After that, ask her if she will be interested to join eGO.

4. Warn them to use English in public chat, kick after 3 more lines of non-Eng after the warning.

1) ass.com is to be warned/ask to leave and change his name, failing that, the player is to be removed/kicked, should the player return with said name temp ban, file ban request.

2) Explain to player warning were given to ALL players, he cursed after said warning resulting in an admin kicking him.

3) Tell the folks in chat to please stop, post a warning in game chat that harassing ANY player is against eGO rules. Those that continue in game get kicked, those in TS,get an adviser to remove.

4) Text book post warning, if they continue kick, and if they are really fun temp ban.

5) With an "e" I am more likely to /psay not to do that, and in TS as well if I can. "eG's" and "eGO's" will be kicked no warning as they should know better. As an early admin I have kicked myself for this.

1.) ass.com would be asked to change his name and should he refuse, player will be kicked from the server until name is changed
2.) Explain warning to player and that he disobeyed a warning, resulting in player's removal from the server. Any following complaints should then be taken to the forums
3.) Post warning in chat to immediately cease harassment. Post warning about harassing players on eGO servers. Should harassment continue, player is kicked from server. Should they return, ban request time.
4.) Warn, Kick if they don't stop, then Ban if they come back
5.) "e"s are generally given a warning if they are very new to eGO, more seasoned "e"s and "eG"s and "eGO"s are kicked with no warning for breaking eGO terms of conduct. I have made the mistake of cursing in chat and have been reprimanded accordingly. I do my best to censor myself (even when in room 5)

1 Indecent names: ass.com would be kicked and told to change his name before reconnecting to our server(s). ballsac should be watched to make sure his name doesn't cause a server disruption.

2 Kicked after warnings: Tell him he got out of hand with cursing after warnings. If he has an issue, he can come to the forums.

3 Female player harassed: The basic questions like little 8 year olds ask should just be monitored and the players should be warned to keep it calm, and not get to excited. Anything further that involves sex or anything to that nature, the player should be warned once and if it happens again, kicked.

5 Foulmouthed e,eG,eGO members: Private say them that its not tolerated and if it happens again, kick them and report to the higher authority.

1) ass.com would warned and asked to change their name. Should the player not change they should be kicked. If the player returns with the same name, temp ban, file ban request.

2) The player should be kicked after warning them to respect all players.

3) Tell the person(s) to stop harassing the girl. If they continue they get kicked.

4) Ask the people in chat to speak in English only. If they fail to do that kick them for server disruption.

5.) If they are in teamspeak, tell them to stop. If they do not stop kick them or talk to an advisor.

1 Indecent names: I would ask "ass.com" to change their name as it's advertising another website, which may or may not contain lewd/indecent/malicious content on it, and we do not allowed any sites to be advertised in our server apart from our own person website: edge-gamers.com but it should still not be in any players name. As for the name 'ballsac' doesn't specifically spell "Ball Sack", it could be difficult to differentiate the meaning of their username, and if they were not causing any issues, I would probably let them continue playing.

2 Kicked after warnings: After warning a player, and they proceed to break said rules they were warned of breaking, I would kick them and inform them that breaking rules, and continuing to do so will get you kicked, and that they should show respect to everyone.

3 Female player harassed: I would warn them that no harassing anyone for anyone in our(eGO) servers is not allowed regardless of the circumstances, and they should stop harassment immediately. Further acts will be a kick, and if they return and continue to harass, put in a ban request for said player(s) taking part in the continual harassment.

4 Spamming Chat in non english language: I would warn that only speaking in English is allowed on the server, and continued spam of foreign language would be a kick, but if it's just 1-2 really short lines, I don't think it would be that big of a problem.

5 Foulmouthed e,eG,eGO members: I would post "Please do not disrespect admins, members, or players." the first time and then kick if it happened again, then request ban. If it were a person from eGO, I would warn an 'e', and record eG, and eGO to report to someone else as they should know better than anyone the rules regardless of the situation it isn't acceptable.

   Those are clearly regulated in the COC.
   1. Balsac Rule 2: "No inappropriate or disrespectful sprays or names."
   2. ass.com Rule 9: "No website URLs in names, sprays or avatars"
2. Kicked after warnings
   The player should have not been kicked in the first place since players in the BF-Division are allowed to use foul-language anyways.
   When the player rejoins I would tell him that he should watch his language next time, even though the admin decision earlier was wrong.
   I would do this to make sure nobody starts arguing about admin decisions, since Admin training advises not to argue with players.
3. Female player harassed
   1. Warn the guys to be mature.
   2. If they become disrespectful in any way. Warn them once, then kick.
4. Spamming Chat in non-english language
   1. Taking from information on the forums: Other languages are allowed as long as it's not dominating the chat.
5. Foulmouthed eGO member
   1. Make sure he is not joking.
   2. Remind him that eGO members may not use foul language (COC, Rule 13)
   3. If the messages sent are too harsh pull in opinions from higher ranked members.

1. Ass.com is a url and therefore most likely some form of advertisement or more than likely, porn. He need to change that name. No url's in the chat or in names

3 Immediately roll the rules, then ask all offending players to stop via warning, and then if they do not cease their unruly activity they would be kicked.
4 English only please, thank you. This is your warning thank you. If they continue to spam the chat in another language, kick, and then if they return and insist upon rule breaking, I would ban them
5. I would tell them to please watch their language in chat or ts if I could. If they continued, I would kick them. If they continued, I would have to ask him to read the code of conduct that ego has established. If this does no good I would drop box it so one of our advisors can have a look at the situation.
