has more to offer than just craps and cards...

Yes folks, it's nearly time to knock a casino off with the rest of the crew. Come the 25th of this month we get to live out Ocean's 11 for realsies. Well, at least as real as one can in a game...

Oh yes, did I forget to mention the latest inductee to the crew? He likes to Russ-ian judging by what he said...

Day 1: It Begins

Apparently the casino is holding something personal the Dentist lost long ago, and he wants it back (if this isn't a freaking barrel of meth like the Breaking Bad ones I'm gonna be disappoint...). And to get into the vault he's presented us with the second biggest drill south of Bertha who's tunneling through Seattle: The BFD. Quite literally so large the dang thing has a ladder to reach the top of it, this thing looks to be able to cut a giant hole in the safe door. And to boot, you can customize it in Preplanning to better suit your needs.

Vegas is our playground in Day 2 and the DLC launches Thursday, so mask up heisters!

Day 2: Let's hear it for Sokol, our Russian Grinder who gave up a hockey career to turn the cops and GENSEC into small little bloody pieces!

Not a whole lot of data obviously since the drop is tomorrow, but he comes with a rifle of some kind (Go Go Website Display Problem!) and a hockey stick, as well as his perk deck "The Grinder". As before, Sokol will set you back $5 while the heist is $7.

Come back tomorrow to see what the River card is as we finally get to break the bank in Vegas!

In my opinion, the trailer was terrible in fleshing out his character. It was simply him playing hockey, with Bain briefly explaining why he's remotely relevant to the crew. I feel like Sokol was a character thrown in just 'cause.

True, but at the same time there were a lot of people complaining that Bonnie, Clover, and Jacket felt like they were just thrown in for $$$ reasons, so at least they tried making Dragan and Sokol have reasons as to why they joined the crew.

Anyway, Launch Day is here and we get the last minute details like the masks, weapons, and achievements. First up is the infamous sun visor that many a gambler uses to prevent the overhead lights from straining those card-counting eyes. Secondly... Well it's the King's scalp and glasses. Probably the best looking mask is also going to be the most challenging to get though, so don't get your hopes up on wearing it right out of the gate. Third, well it's something of a hockey mask, or something... It looks pretty dang cool, but bit odd too. Rounding up the masks list is a Gladiatorial helmet, kind of out of place IMO, but it might be right up your alley.

Also being included in the heist DLC is the Cavity 9mm pistol(?), basically a extremely high concealment gun designed to keep those dang guards from getting too suspicious about you. And the 4 melee weapons... THIS is where my interest suddenly got a lot higher. You've got your croupier's rake, a slot machine arm, a switchblade (FINALLY!), and the pi?ce de r?sistance: The Buzzer, your very own electrical death dealer to stick it to those dang Tasers and show them just how much it hurts to be electrocuted.

A number of us (myself for one) probably.I've got 2 achievements left for GG before 'finishing' it.

Well, I thoroughly enjoy the taser melee (dear god the laughter as I tase a taser to death...), and the heist is fun, but as before you don't need to own the DLC to play the heist. Haven't played around with the Valkyrie rifle from Sokol yet, but the Cavity 9mm gets playtime as my new stealth rifle since it's semi-automatic right from the get-go and high concealment. The biggest drawback to it is its unbelievably horrid hip fire accuracy, even with a laser.

As for Sokol, it's up to you really. Most people say if you build around it correctly the Grinder perk deck is insanely useful, but I haven't had a chance to really test it out yet myself. I have a build ready for it and have the deck completed, but I have been a dodger since I can remember...
