So as some of you may now from the past meetings. I am a proffesionally trained operatic tenor. I sing for a lving this is what i do. Lots of you have had the chance to hear me sing, some of you have missed out.
As April 19th comes closer and closer. I am becoming more excited and enthusiastic about the days events. What is this event?????
Romance in Springtime
April 19th, 8:00 PST
An evening of Gorgeous Classical, Pop Opera, and Romantic Music.
Guys this is going to be a huge milestone in my performing career as i am releasing my first album. As well as a Live DVD Recording 3 days after the concert. I have 6 corporate sponsers from around Vancouver Island and there are 20 different music educators who are donating a vast amount of cash to support myself and my collaborators in our future efforts at the University of Victoria.
The council has approved of the idea of me broadcasting it live for you guys in ventrilo. I am really excited for this as not only does the audience get to hear us at our best. But so do you guys. I am totally comfortable with this idea as i consider you guys family to me. This clan has been a huge positive impact on my life. I just want to give back to the clan by sharing with you all a small portion of my real life.
This is going to be a huge event for me. I am already starting to feel the stress. I have spent over 125 hours rewriting all the music for this concert. 50 hours writing letters and emails to over 35 different people and businesses. I worked extremely hard to get the times and days for rehearsals and recording sessions. So basically, I DESERVE THIS. LOL!
How the channel will be set up is up to the council. I would to have everyone muted except for my own mic. The recording will be constantly streamed so i dont want any unnessecary bandwidth usage on the channel. It will be open to anyone, but it is a first come priority. The stream will be a high quality sound (at least on my end anyway). But when i sing in vent the sound usually is good quality. If anyone has any suggestions on how i can boost the quality any further without creaing to much lag on the server please tell me as it would seriously help in allowing you guys to hear the concert.
I would just like to say THANK YOU to the council for approving this as it is a huge honor for me to have this chance. Just remember to keep some tissues by your computer as you may start to cry. Im probably going to cry (dramatic effect of course).
