Well, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Some of you may be wondering, where did that double PhD guy go?
Let me tell you a story.
On May 20th, my mouse broke. A Razer Deathadder. The scroll wheel stopped working. Armed with a spare USB Dell mouse, I reported the problem to Razer. By the 26th, I had secured an RMA and my mouse was sent out. It didn't get received until the 9th, which bothered me, but I was just glad I didn't have to pay anything. Afterwards, radio silence from Razer until the 18th, because they would have to update me to a Deathadder Chroma. No complaints, it's the same, physically. It can just change colors. Ships on the 18th, arrives today. So why the longer silence?
On the 18th, my 1 TB Seagate drive failed a SMART check, which means the drive has basically died. That was not my system drive (also a Seagate drive), but had all my game-related things on it. Just yesterday, a new drive from WD (because that's the third Seagate drive I've had that's failed) arrived. I installed it, only to find that I could not recover from the old drive. It was that broken.
So where am I now? The waiting game...
Even more salt in the somehow-increasing wound: I have to work tomorrow. But after that?
