HELP!

[Frying Scotsman]

Today, my TF2 game started launching in a window instead of a full screen. Then after loading the Valve screens, it crashes. How can I force it to launch as full screen? I even tried reinstalling the files, but it is still doing this.

This happened to me. I reinstalled Steam and TF2 and that did the job. Is your Graphics card driver out of date?

When that happens to me I pull up task manager, select the tf2 entry and push the Switch To button. Works like a charm.

No, No, No.

Don't Reinstall Steam or TF2.
Just go to Options>Video>Display and Click Full Screen.

Check that you don't have any custom launch options set either because you can launch it in windowed version via that. It accessible by right clicking the game > Properties > Custom Launch Options
